He comes across as a legit nice guy, and you can tell by his co-workers comments here that it not an act. He's authentic as they come.

Just an all around good guy. And a gawt dayum beast of a fighter.

My Stipe story:

UFC on FOX Chicago: Dillashaw vs Barao 2

The afternoon before the show started, UFC had a bunch of meet and greets set up in the parking lot across the street.

Stipe and Aljo Sterling were taking photos and giving autographs to a long line of people .I'm about maybe 10 people from the start of the line.

Then some UFC shill in a suit comes out and says it's 3:00, they need to shut this down. Stipe goes up to the shill and you could see they were arguing. The shill kept shaking his head no, pointing to his watch.

Stipe yells out "I don't care what this guy says...I'm not leaving here until everyone gets their pics". The UFC shill sulked away like a scalded dog.

Stipe stayed until everyone in that line was gone.

100% class act.

Win or lose, Stipe seems like a decent human being, which is more than we can usually say about most people, forget about professional athletes.
I don't really have a horse in this race, but I am hoping for a competitive fight and for Stipe not to end up in a body bag like Overeem did.
