Movies Trailer: New Vietnam War Film

okay boomers,

Make a new war film like Ukraine vs Russia

Something Americans can actually get behind.

I dont hear fortunate son

I don't know how that's the "Vietnam song" suddenly in the last few years.

This one was in every Vietnam movie ever:

If I had to pick one Vietnam song that would be it.

With honorable mentions to Hendrix's all along the watchtower, the stones' paint it black, and then fortunate son.

The Vietnamese cinema is certainly not as developed as other countries but it looks a truer depiction of what happened. A story told by the victors.
That doesn't mean it's a "truer" depiction. Asian war films are filled with propaganda like American war movies used to be before Hollywood virtue signaling and liberal guilt. I saw a bit of a Chinese WW2 movie and it showed Chinese soldiers fighting against the Japanese using AKs. I once saw a Korean movie where North Korean and South Korean soldiers team up to shoot down American bombers lol.

I've been to that flag tower. It happened to be some kind of special day and there a bunch of old Vietnamese guys in uniforms from the Vietnam war era. I couldn't communicate with them but I wondered if they fought against my granddad during the war.

The victors have made many name many movies about Vietnam. The real victor was the American civilians who grew tired and turned against the war.
North Vietnamese loses were well over 1 million and the South and US loses were CONSIDERABLY less then 50% of that.
And before anyone replies with some dog shit response, I think we never should of gone to Vietnam it was not our flight and not worth any of the American lives lost. Since we did go, we never should of abandoned our allies to be murdered after we left.

LOL! More like 3.1 million Vietnamese died. Both north and south wanted us out of there and we never should have gone in the first place.

grandpapi @Yoricks Wisdom was there...
With the French... in 1867
But then it was called the Indochina war.
