Rumble Johnson’s anticipated move up to the UFC’s middleweight division to fight Vitor Belfort because of several Welterweight weigh-in misses and ended up still missing the middleweight limit of 186 pounds by 11 whole pounds and Vitor still took the fight dropping Rumble and then chokes him out.

Looking back at it, it all just seems surreal. I think this was the same night Silva vs Bonner happened and Aldo vs Erik Coch was scheduled to happen (I think)

I do know this PPV happened like right after Vitor fought Jon and right before GSP fought Condit though.

2012 was the first year on Fox and was just plagued with injuries, cancelled fights, and fights no one asked for.

What good fights happened that year?

We should all make a list of like the 25 best fights that happened for each year since 1993

Would be a cool watch list

I don't remember him dropping Rumble. I remember him taking him down though. There was also some all-time-worst reffing in that fight.

You want surreal? Josh Kos-B'goscheck finished Anthony fucking Johnson via RNC, the AKA special that DC finished AJ with two times.

I know, the weight cut means it was far from final form Rumble, but let's take a moment to acknowledge the gutsiest win Josh ever had.

A win that aged like fine wine with every top 10 205"er AJ went on to leave embossed in the octagon lol

RIP ARJ
