MMA has seen its fair share of razor-thin decisions that sparked outrage among fans and fighters alike. From GSP vs. Hendricks to Machida vs. Shogun, these fights remain etched in history as the moments that made everyone question the judging criteria. This list dives into the bouts that kept the MMA community debating long after the final bell.

Brunson absolutely beat Silva. Just an awful decision.

I will always maintain that Condit vs Lawler is the biggest robbery in a title fight in the UFC

Always best to re.watch a fight the second time. Gives you a different perspective.

Rampage getting the nod over Machida was some BS, even Page knew it. Lyoto was super classy about it as you'd expect.

Meh.

2 rounds where very little happened and 1 where Machida dominated, but not to the point of a 10-8. If more 10-10s were given it would have been 30-29 Machida, but they’re not, so giving Rampage the first 2 wasn’t that ridiculous.

Always had love for GSP especially on his way up the rankings, but was absolutley gobsmacked when he got his hand raised against Hendricks, sure he may have edged it out by the smallest of margins on points, but I've never seen someone get there ass handed to them like that and walk out the victor.

For me it was Rua-Machida 1, the worst robbery I've seen.

I thought Shogun won every round. It was bad.

Atleaat the most prolific. I've seen worse robberies in small fights between nobodies but don't care enough to remember.
I think at that point in time, kicks were only scored as equal strikes when convenient. You had Griffin winning over Rampage, yet Shogun loses to Machida. The judging criteria seems to weigh "control" more too. I wish there was a better way to track judging criteria and eras. I mean you can go back to Bas Rutten vs Randleman even. There's definitely been shifts over time what scores points and doesn't.

  1. Always best to re.watch a fight the second time. WIth the commentary off or in another language. While you score the fight round by round like a judge. Gives you a different perspective.
FTFY
The Hendricks vs GSP "Robbery" cries are doused with cold water if you score the fight round by round. Close fight that could have gone either way but not at all a Robbery.

Jones vs Reyes is the biggest "Robbery" based on what was at stake. Joe Soliz gives Reyes the first round but gives Jon 2-5??? Reyes outstruck Jon in the 2nd & 3rd by a wider margin then the first which he gave Reyes. Absolutely baffling.

Pierson Sanchez is the biggest robbery in UFC history, and by a wide margin. If you haven't ever watched this fight, Pierson easily pieces Sanchez apart, as Sanchez keeps rushing in with no game plan. No round was close. In fact a couple might have been 10-8 rounds, and Sanchez won unanimously...in his home town.

Clear 2-2 with a swing round that most gave to Reyes, but elevated to robbery due to it being Jones and his opponent doing far better than expected…..same as Santos and Gus 1.

Seemed a clear 30-27 but no way a couple were close to 10-8s.
