Hey guys, just wanted some advice. The search button doesn't work for me for some reason so bear with me if this has been posted.

I just noticed on Friday that I had califlower ear my ear (if that makes sense) in the inner lobe and partial on the outer part. It's been 4 days (including today) that I didn't drain it. The reason why I didn't notice it because it wasn't too big on the outer part, but the inner part has califlower. Is it too late to drain it? It's not as soft as it used to be when I first discovered it. I just didn't have time to go to the doctor as I was busy with work all weekend. I would do it myself but I am just worried about getting a infection.

And by the way, this may be a stupid question, and the answer may be obvious, but I have a bug bite rash on my arm. I dont know which bug, but it has a bump and there is a red area about the bump. I hate taking time off training (but I guess I have too if I drain the califlower ear) but can I still roll with the bug rash on my arm? It's not like it's ringworm or staph infection.

Thanks in advance for your answers!

Cauliflower ear normally doesn't firm up for a while, so you can probably still drain it, but I'd have a doctor check it and do it. They're not too expensive.

Secondly, I'd be careful about what you think is a "bug bite" with a a red area around the outside. A lot of times ringworm starts off like a bug bite. It itches like shit and as you scratch it and it grows, the more defined ring will form. You may want to invest in some lotramin if that happens... and avoid rolling until it's gone.

If youre not gonna drain it yourself or have a buddy do it, go to a doctor and see what he says.

The longer you wait, the less youre gonna get out. You should beable to get it done today and get most of it.

A doctor can make an incision, put a drain in, and bind your ear which will have a better visual prognosis than syringe + nose clip with a DIY surgery.

Thanks for the heads up!

I am sure this is a bug bite, because there was a small bite mark on my arm before. It then started to little lump, followed by a red rash. I checked it online just now and it's a bug bite, from a spider or mosquito. But I am guessing it's not safe to roll with the rash?
