''In July 1985, when he was 21 years old, Sells was working at a carnival in Forsyth, Missouri. There he met Ena Cordt, 35, who had brought her 4-year old son to the carnival as a treat. Cordt found Sells attractive and invited him back to her home that same evening. According to Sells, he had sex with Cordt, but awoke during the night to find her stealing from his backpack. Seizing her son's baseball bat, he beat her to death. He also murdered her son in case he could be used as a witness. The two badly bludgeoned bodies were found three days later, by which time Tommy Lynn Sells had moved on.''

I watched a documentary on him and i cant believe this pos wasn't killed before. He's been on the row since 98' and confessed more than a dozen crimes.

Now, the question is.....will he get a stay? lol

Don't child killers normally get hell off the other inmates and guards?

If he got the death penalty, why not do it ASAP? Tax dollars and all that stuff.

Appeals process takes years before all options are exhausted. I'm against the Death penalty solely because it cost far more taxpayer dollars than just leaving them in a cell for life.

probably from guards but Tommy is on death row in Allan Pollunsky unit, there is no contact at all between inmates when you are in that jail.(in the death row building at least)

How many appeals can he make if he confessed to so much crimes?

One of many who deserved to be killed. But as a father of 3 I am extreme. I think :eek::eek::eek::eek:philes should be executed.

True, at the end all the appeals, attorneys, hearings and trials are very, very expensive. Billions of dollars wasted.

The should just shank his ass.

Depends on each state. Here's a lengthy article from a lawyer explaining why these things can take decades.

Thanks, the reason for the elaborateness sounds like a lot of BS to me. They start of with with a case where guilt isn't questioned much, if at all, then all you need to prove is the responsibility (which should be a relatively black and white matter, imo) and still existing danger the accused could form. Who gives a shit if the person had a bad childhood or a low IQ, what matters is that the person is fucked up beyond rehabilitation or any kind of reformation. It's the same like a vicious dog who mauled a kid to death, you aren't gonna bring it's IQ or upbringing in question, just the fact that the dog isn't able to safely function in any kind of society.

I think all the tediousness and redundancy are in place to either prevent the execution of an innocent man, or to prevent an injustice of exigent circumstances. I guess the courts would rather spend all that money to save the few innocents than to expedite and kill off all the trash.

Just shows lack of faith in their own system, imo. They should work on making the existing system/laws more efficient, instead of lazily throwing processes of doubt after the original trailing. Also they should prioritize what they think is worth the tax money more, those trials, or all the other stuff normal society can benefit from.

Screw a needle, he should be taken home with a baseball bat.

There are some deep flaws in the American system.

This man, Glenn Ford, was exonerated three weeks ago, after having spent 30 years on death row:

He's the 144th death row inmate to be exonerated in the US since 1973.

Since 1976, there have been 1373 executions in the United States.

Think about this for a second. For every 10 executions in the US in the past four decades, there was one guy who was proven innocent. Mind boggling.

Doesn't have to include rape (duh!), but, hey, anything to justify your kind.

You will join Tommy someday in hell. Hopefully, sooner rather than later. Then, you can molest each other and discuss the merits.

AMF!

Arent you a piece of work

killing a 4 year old? he should have been taken around the corner of the courthouse and gotten a bullet in the head right after the sentencing.
