What’re your thoughts on Cornette?
I just recently started listening to his podcast, I got hooked by the level of insight and al the stories he has of his territory says and his time booking for WWF. He’s kinda turning me off though with his disrespect for people that haven’t done shit to him. His shit talk can be kinda cringe as well for me.

what do you guys think ?

When he's on his a-game he can be about the best to listen to. But he can be intollerably annoying at times also.

I actually had to turn him off today, listening to him talk about his “sexual conquests” compared to flair was unbearable
What bugs me is when he shit talks ppl like russo. Now, dont get me wrong, russo is scum.. but cornette is too petty and long-winded with it. For one of his better recent segments, look for the podcast where him and brian last listen to undertakers cameos. Hilarious stuff.

He never stops with the Russo hate man. And I’ll look out for it, thank you man

AllEliteScoobyDoo.....

Corny is the only wrasslin podcast I listen to anymore. The amount of wrestling knowledge Brian and he have is vast. Yeah he talks massive shit on today’s product but a lot of people agree with his thoughts. Both major American companies are doing two completely different things and missing the storylines that got me into it in the first place.

Jim is a very entertaining podcaster. I could see how his disrespect of some people could be a turn off.

He is an unrivalled historian of Wrestling.

Unfortunately, he has a very narrow view of Pro Wrestling being only about the ladykiller Babyface he wishes he was vs the heel who gets him over and a slew of jobbers who only serve to legitimize those 2 characters. If he was self aware enough to compartmentalize his adolescent stud fetish he could be far more insightful.

I don't need to listen to his podcast to know that Cody Rhodes is the type of guy he'd most like to see rail his wife and therefore the only worthwhile part of the Winter is Coming show.

This. He is one of the most knowledgeable guys when it comes to wrestling but is so set in his ways that it can be irksome. I enjoy listening to him talk about wrestling history, but when he goes off on one because wrestling has changed over the years, I tune out.

He's a gas......just don't take his opinions to heart.

Just enjoy the cuck rant about stuff.

-Was on the booking committee in WCW when they went to shit..........oops that was Herds fault
-Had his own promotion for 2 years and made no money and had to shut it down
-Was on the booking team in WWF when they had to sell the water coolers in Titan tower .........oops that was the fault of cartoon wrestling
- Can’t get credit for the Attitude era if Russo can’t
-TNA lost mega money when he was on the booking team.......,oh wait that was Dixies fault
-ROH went nowhere when he was booking, couldn’t fill a bingo hall........but that’s not his fault . Best selling shows and growth came from the Elite and BC.

So exactly when does the wrestling genius of Jim Cornette show up ?

Being in people's heads after failing for 30 years.

He's a blowhard to say the least, but I enjoy listing to his perspective and stories about the old days. I hated him when I was a kid in the 80's when he was a manager carrying that gay ass tennis racket around.

Outside of Meltzer , who really brings up Cornette first? They respond to his shit but no one ever goes first in him because he’s not on anyone’s radar . Cornys in his own head

I love his rants, even if I disagree with him. His idea of wrestling is going town to town with the NWA in 1986, and woe betide anyone who does something different. Seriously, who gives a fuck about exposing the business? The McMahons ruined that to get out of paying the commissions, and no-one watching any other form of TV seriously believes the actors legit hate each other in real life. As a wrestling historian he's one of the best though. Been there for so many iconic moments, and participated in several.
