His striking looked shaky against Silva who has power but he did outstrike Silva and land a clean submission.
Imo he could be a t5 fighter in the future.

He continues surprising me. Did not think he’d be this successful. He deserves a top 15 if not top 10

Has a lot of potential to fight for the belt.
Have to see how he looks against Cannonier or Vettori.

When did he fight Filho?
I don't remember Filho moving up to MW.

Allen is a very fun and talented fighter who's much better offensively than defensively. His striking defense especially leaves a lot to be desired, but his composure and fight IQ have definitely improved over the last few years. I do think his tendency to absorb damage and get drawn into fire fights, along with his defense will prevent him from ever becoming elite, but he's a good fighter who continues to impress. He's not bad on the mic either.

He's much better than I originally thought but I just can't shake those TKO losses. I don't think he'll ever get to a title shot but that doesn't mean he's not legit

He should get a bump in competition after this, subbing Muniz was by far his most impressive performance yet and overall he's looked very solid in his last three.
There's for sure some big holes in his game, like his striking defense and sometimes he gets into unnecessary fire fights that get him in trouble. However, he seems to be improving that area of his game and uses a decent high guard.

For future opponents there's a few options.
Vettori, Hermansson, Costa/Aliskerov winner or the Strickland/Magomedov winner are all good choices.

He displayed not only does he have great grappling but an unbreakable will amd iron chin. His striking is good and he looks to pack serious power. Very well rounded fighter. I think he will go far. Reminds me of a little less refind prime rockhold but with more punching power and a better chin

Big fan he's still super young there are still a few guys in his way to a TS imo no real rush.

He's from southern LA. Must be entertainment.

I like the humbleness on saying he would co-main behind DP on another NOLA card.

He shocked me, subbed Muniz and rocked Silva.

Give him Hermansson, I think that fight makes a lot of sense for both guys.

You could tell DC was pretty proud interviewing him too.
Oddly enough, that was the last time UFC came here. It was supposed to be DC vs Bader and that one got scrapped. The card fk'n delivered with 7 fast finishes and Ortega vs Tavares back & forth war. Underrated event: Boetsch v Hendo

I really don't think about people that have never won anything -- Tom Brady
