This is why you see him now, with a huge cope smile on his face, looking like he didn't even try to make the weight (as opposed to someone that truly tried, like Travis Lutter, for example).

Yes fighters get dropped or even knocked out cold in their careers and are often able to come back stronger. But there was something so different about the way he went down here. It is absolutely the most effeminate, emasculated position I have EVER seen a fighter put into in MMA or boxing history, and to a man half his size, after having built himself in his head to match the media hype of thinking he was an invincible wrecking machine. It was extremely uncomfortable and disturbing to watch in real time.

He has had a complete mental breakdown from the admittedly huge pressure of needing to live up to the image the media have thrust upon him, and more importantly the pressure he put on himself to live up to that, forcing him to confront fighters like Paolo Costa of which he has zero intention of fighting (as evidenced by his desperate ducking answer when asked by a reporter).

He is having a complete meltdown and having to come in grossly overweight because he needs the massive size advantage for the confidence to fight the bloated 37 year old LW 155er that has looked like a punching bag for years now. Heck, his punishment from the UFC should be a forced move to MW to fight Costa, it would be like the scene in Jurassic Park where they drop the goat into the T-Rex cage.

He wanted nothing to do with a real gangster like Nate. He's soft dog.

He won't be getting smiles and handshakes for a while but if he keeps winning and getting written about then he will keep having a place

It is reminiscent of that but so much more psychologically disturbing because Khamzat was CONSCIOUSLY put into the most revoltingly submissive position we've ever seen in combat sports. Gilbert literally slapped him down onto all fours in position to kiss his feet. It's the type of haunting image you don't soon forget, and for a fighter with the masculine ego of Khamzat to go through that on a WORLD stage, I cannot begin to imagine the damage done to his psyche, but we're seeing it play out right now with his total meltdown against Nate Diaz of all people. Can you imagine if they called his bluff and really put him in there with Adesanya, or even someone like Colby for that matter.

Kind of weird pre-occupation with the being on all fours here.....

Sounds like you are the one having a meltdown.

Aw man, I'm enjoying your passion today, Andrew. Pause. I mean your passion about this being THE WORST position any fighter has ever been in. I'm loving this. Don't stop now. Tell us how you really feel!

I am beginning to find Khamzat an entitled, slow witted bully but I will tune in to any and every fight of his.

Or it could be the only time he misses weight in his career. We have no idea wtf happened. He made weight all times before it.

Ya know this is random, but people talk shit about how weed makes you lazy meanwhile Nate was discipline enough to actually make weight....

this level of homoeroticism is disturbing. Sounds as though the tc was foaming at the mouth and furiously jerking off while typing this, seek help you fucking weirdo

Pummelled and dropped by a natural LW, it's bound to take it's toll -- but nobody expected this!!!!
