They Changed The Flavor Of Coke Zero

They also changed the name and the packaging too!
Used to be Coke Zero in a black can, then it became Coke Zero Sugar in a red and black can which was a bit troubling but the flavor was the same so I guess I could work through it
Now they've put it in an all red can with black letters and COMPLETELY CHANGED THE TASTE!!
It actually tastes exactly like regular Coke now which is a great flavor but I had come to enjoy the sharp bite of the old Coke Zero flavor, it actually hurt a bit from the acid burn everytime you took a refreshing sip, now that is gone completely, replaced with the syrupy sweetness of regular Coke
I know that sounds like a good thing but I miss the bite, made shit challenging, made you feel like a man
When will this madness end

yeah, there's something about it that's not satiating.

it does taste closer to og cocacola yet, somehow, it's less satisfying because it never hits that spot of feeling satiating.

i'd rather drink og coke zero daily and a mexican coke once a month or so.

Whatever the sweetener is in Coke Zero, it gives me heinous gas. I suspect it might be something similar to the sweetener they used in those sugarless gummie bears that made everyone shit their pants a few years ago.

I went out and purchased a case so I can try it myself.

Pros:
-The flavor is vastly superior there is no question about it. Tastes almost identical to OG coke.
- it's smooth as hell
-This would probably work well with popcorn/chips. The last one wouldn't hold up as well. It would cut through the flavor of the snacks but ultimately get over powered by it. This I can't see happening the same way. The coke flavor is prominent.

Cons:
-Less refreshing for sure although it's not as bad as I had imagined. To be honest it's still refreshing but just not as much.
- There is less acidity to it and lacks that "bite" mentioned in the OP. This could be a pro depending on how you look at it but I do miss that about the old one.
- Much less fizz. This bugs me a lot. This feels like they defizzed it by a good 30-40%.


Conclusion:
Overall the new coke zero is superior. But if the fizz was just like the OG coke Zero this match wouldn't even be close. I'm really hoping they put more in there because that's a huge deal.
