I think these presidential hopefuls will soon realize that pandering to the extremists aren't going to help their quest for the White House at all.

You mean back to her "normal life" of participating in anti-Trump marches while wearing a "pussy hat"?

Question 1: do you believe Ford's attorney when she says that Ford went public with her accusations in part to try to prevent an anti-Roe v Wade justice from reaching the Supreme Court?

Question 2: Assuming Ford's father did indeed congratulate Kavanaugh's father for Kavanaugh's ascendance to the Supreme Court, what if anything does this say about Ford's credibility?

Question 3: Did you notice any glaring inconsistencies in Ford's story? For example, anything involving airplanes?

Wow, Elizabeth Warren is behaving in an unnecessarily trashy manner here. As a presidential candidate, she'd be further ahead to let the liberal media do the slandering while remaining aloof and above it all. Does anyone really expect better from Beto or Kamala though?

I really don't care who is or isn't telling the truth. She made an accusation, it was looked into and Kavanaugh was confirmed. Seems like a dead issue to me.

Considering about 50% of the adult population claimed to believe her, I think it's a teachable case study for posterity. Wouldn't you agree, Mr. Z?

Biden not joining other Dem candidates in calling for Kavanaugh impeachment
    by Emily Larsen | September 16, 2019

Joe Biden is not joining other Democrats in demanding the impeachment of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, calling for handling the matter "the right way" with an investigation into how sexual misconduct allegations against the judge were investigated.

"We must follow the evidence to wherever it leads," Biden said in a statement Sunday. "Doing this the right way is critically important in getting the truth and restoring the American people's faith in their government."

Earlier on Sunday, several Democratic presidential hopefuls, including California Sen. Kamala Harris, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, former Texas Rep. Beto O'Rourke, and South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, called for Kavanaugh's impeachment in wake of a New York Times story that reported a previously unknown sexual misconduct allegation. Max Stier, who was a classmate of Kavanaugh's at Yale, said he remembered an instance where Kavanaugh had his pants down during a dorm party, with friends forcing his penis at a female student who inadvertently touched it. The female student, however, has not spoken publicly about the allegation, and her friends said that she does not remember the incident.

"We need to get to the bottom of whether the Trump Administration and Senate Republicans pressured the FBI to ignore evidence or prevented them from following up on leads relating to Justice Kavanaugh's background investigation, subsequent allegations that arose, and the truthfulness of his testimony to the Senate," Biden said.

Kavanaugh was confirmed in October 2018 after a grueling confirmation process that largely centered on decades-old sexual misconduct allegations from Christine Blasey Ford, who attended a high school near Kavanaugh, and Deborah Ramirez, who attended Yale at the same time as Kavanaugh. Ford said that when they were in high school, Kavanaugh pinned her to the bed and covered her mouth, while Ramirez said that Kavanaugh exposed himself to her during a college dorm party. Kavanaugh denied the allegations.

"This weekend's report in the New York Times raises again profoundly troubling questions about the integrity of the confirmation process that put Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court in the first place," Biden said in the statement. "The women who continue to come forward, as Dr. Blasey Ford courageously did, deserve to be treated with dignity and be listened to. It takes enormous courage for a woman to come forward, under the bright lights of millions of people watching, and relive a traumatic memory."

Damn smart politics. Someone in Biden's campaign (or some cabal of puppeteer donors) is making smart moves.

While the rest of the pack are desperate to score points towards the primaries, Biden is already looking forward to the general election.

I don't know how anyone with a stable mind who can look at a case where the supposed victim has no idea what the accuser is talking about and immediately calling for impeachments.

Biden has my respect, except for the creepy pedo-looking stuff. Identity politics he does not play, one of the main things I like about him. Can't believe how much I'm coming around to him. I guess it's due to the other candidates being mostly, lackluster, except 1 or 2.

    Also-

Is this some kind of joke? Lol wow shameless play.

Judiciary chairman throws cold water on Kavanaugh impeachment
Jerry Nadler says the committee is too busy 'impeaching the president' to consider investigating the Supreme Court justice.

    By KYLE CHENEY | 09/16/2019

The House Judiciary Committee is too tied up with "impeaching the president" to take immediate action on a potential investigation into sexual misconduct allegations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler said Monday.

"We have our hands full with impeaching the president right now and that's going to take up our limited resources and time for a while," Nadler said on WNYC when pressed by host Brian Lehrer.

It's a significant comment that comes even as advocates for formal impeachment proceedings against Trump have argued the Judiciary Committee is capable of juggling its Trump-focused investigations with other issues in its broad jurisdiction — including immigration and criminal justice policies.

Nadler’s interview comes amid calls from some Senate Democrats and presidential candidates to impeach Kavanaugh after a New York Times story over the weekend reported a new allegation of sexual misconduct against the justice from his time as a student at Yale.

Nadler said his first move to investigate Kavanaugh would come next month, when FBI Director Christopher Wray appears for a previously scheduled hearing that will now feature a significant focus on the Supreme Court justice's past — and whether the FBI's background check was thorough enough. Nadler said his panel's primary focus would be determining whether Kavanaugh lied to the Senate.

"These deeds that he allegedly did years ago would be very relevant to a senator voting for or against his nomination," Nadler said.

At the time, Nadler complained that the Senate only got a fraction of Kavanaugh's records from his White House tenure, which ran from 2001 to 2006, when he served in the White House counsel's office and later as staff secretary. He said it was urgent to receive because of the potential for Kavanaugh to rule on policy matters that may have come up during his time in the White House.

Last month, Nadler asked the National Archives to release a large cache of records related to Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh's time in George W. Bush's White House.
