The UFC is promoting Ngannou by showing one of his knockouts. Is this a good sign going forward for both the UFC and Ngannou? Having a heavyweight champ like Ngannou is good for the promotion especially with what’s going on in North America right now. I hope this isn’t a ploy to distract fans from the fighter pay discussion and Joe Rogan.

Promoting an organisation isn't about always delivering what the fans want to see, its about delivering glimpses of what they could potentially see, and then expecting people to pay for less.

Remember when Strikeforce had Hershcel Weaker in their intro after that one weird fight he had...

But yeah, he was always gonna fight again.

It's a good sign that Francis has Dana by the balls.

Imagine calling Francis and his manager on the way to the Gane fight and telling them they are going to be sued, and now groveling like a bitch after Francis won.

Nobody cares about Francis outside the UFC, his fight against Fury would be a dud and he'd be knocked out by the bigger stronger better man in a humiliating fashion. He knows he only has a future with Uncle Dana.

Maybe an olive branch as part of the negotiations? It would be great if it was breakthrough but I wouldn’t glean too much from the post.

It's an anniversary post. Doubt it's meant as anything more than clicks.

Hi salty uncle Dana.

Clearly Tyson Fury cares, and is willing to pay Ngannou for it. The winner of the fight means shit. It's all about being paid well, and Ngannou having the freedom to do so.

Ngannou already has lost a fight, and somehow, I don't think he will lose a lot of sleep over dropping a boxing match... a fight outside of his wheelhouse... to a high-level champion boxer. I'm sure the 7 zeroes at the end of his payday will console him pretty well.

TS is reading way too much into an Instagram post. It's highly unlikely that Dana (or any major executive at the UFC) plays any role in these kinds of generic social media posts.

They own the rights to show the clip. If showing a knockout gets people excited they're going to do it.

I hope not. I want him to leave and go make 10X the amount of money the UFC wants to pay him.

1. Fury is not stronger than Ngannou, although raw strength would hardly mean anything in this boxing match.
2. You're right in that Fury would knock him out. Idk how humiliating it'd be though when it's what everyone would be expecting.
3. Obviously it wouldn't do close to the McGregor/Mayweather number, but you're out of your mind if you don't think it'd do over 1 million buys.
