... and im not happy.

Dana has become the very enemy he swore to destroy.

Francis (the realer HW hampion, not JBG, not cereal gains) left without being defeated and now one of the people he beat is fighting for the belt.

Jiri gave up his belt undefeated so 2 folks fought for it and Dana said you know what fuck it let this old man and guy with an oddly spelt first name fight for it so now Hill is champ.

Potent was fast tracked AND gifted non wrestlers (strickland also fought like an overly prideful fool) to get to Adesanya who also happens to be a striker and champion. How many top 10 MW (including Khamzat) can beat Potent via basic wrestling and grappling? Did you see how clueless he looked with Adesanya when they grappled? SMH.

Kamaru was allowed to defend against masvidal not once, but twice (why did the 2nd colby fight even happen???).

Volk was allowed to stall FW for whatever reason.

Flyweight apparently only has 2 fighters.

You cant deny Im right. Not even the GOATest to ever do it Jon Jones can fix this mess <{hfved}>

Settle down.

It sucks that Francis left, but it's not like the UFC didn't try to re-sign Francis. He ultimately wouldn't re-sign, so they had to move on. The winner of Jones/Gane is still a damn good HW champion.

LHW is definitely a bit of a mess, no doubt, but Jiri got injured... it is what it is. He'll be back hopefully towards the end of the year and the mess will get sorted out.

Pereira was fast tracked, but I don't think anyone can be mad about him being champ. He is an absolute savage and already looking like one of the best strikers we've seen in awhile. He won the belt fair and sqaure against a dominant champ. I don't think anything is cheapened there.

At WW- You're bringing up things from the past. Either way, Kamaru was a dominant champ, and Leon beat him fair and square. There's a ton of intrigue in that rematch too.

Volk showed himself as a worthy challenger at LW. He'll be back defending his FW belt against Yair. No issue there (unless he is given an immediate rematch vs Islam, without having to give up the FW belt... but we're not there yet).

FLW has never been a deep division. Those were the two best guys going at it. Kai Kara France had an opportunity to jump in and change things, but Moreno finished him. Either way, it's all been settled now- Moreno is a great champ and there a few fresh interesting matchups coming his way.

I thought you were talking about the actual championship belts, which have also been cheapened

You wrote all that just to be the contrarian... Or maybe you just dana white himself. You know im spittin facts, why you defending them tho??

He asked for a three fight deal with no extensions, and he was happy with the money figures the UFC was offering. The UFC clearly didn't make a good faith effort to sign a fighter if the breaking point was we can only offer you a 3 fight contract that can be stretched to five years, and not just a plain ol 3 fight deal. The promotion picked profit margins over sporting legitimacy there, which is what most promoters do.

I thought the main sticking point was more that Francis wanted to be able to have a boxing match while under UFC contract, which the UFC refused. I'm not saying that's right, but I do understand their position on it and it's no different than every single other UFC contract (other than the one-time exception with Conor McGregor who has always been a complete exception to all of the rules, and for good reason considering the interest and money he generates is on an absolute different level).

There's so many different things floating around with respect to the Francis/UFC situation and a ton of he said/she said type rumors, it's difficult to know what's true and what isn't. None of us have all of the facts and can say for sure whether the UFC had a true good faith negotiation or whether Ngannou's requests were reasonable or not. At the end of the day it's just unfortunate that it didn't work out, but it also isn't the end of the world and the UFC will move on as it always does.

I'm not really defending them. I just don't know or really pay attention that much to all of the drama and rumors of what happens behind the scenes. The only thing I do know is that I'm a fan of fights, and good fighters, and looking at things objectively, the UFC currently still has really good fighters at the top of each division. I'm just failing to see how the belts have been "cheapened", other than in the LHW division where unfortunately the real champion is injured.

So, what are they supposed to do? HW Champ left, the other vacated...they just put fights together...considering they did twice for LHW.

What do you mean? Where do I draw the line where I stop watching all together, or stop paying for PPVs, or something else?

How do you balance being the promotion with the best fighters with profitability??? How much will they cheapen the belt? Yea... okay they did it for conor but now they making a habit out of it smh

Francis leaving was a choice... You mean to tell me they rich asses couldnt make him stay?
