Calvin is from the Movie 'life' he basically is like a less lethal version of the Thing and his natural form is that of a giant Squid type creature. It can convert other creatures biomass into itself but does not take control of them or mimic them so it cannot become it. Calvin is really strong though a 4inch calvin can break human bones he is also quite durable. Calvin is also smart and knows to disable the ship communication but by comparison so does the Thing, the Thing destroyed all methods of real escape and communication to warn the outside world.

My vote goes to 'The Thing' anything it touches it takes control of its blood is dangerous and touching it is dangerous. The Thing is like the ultimate biological weapon of death not even fire seems to kill it. The Thing chose to go dormant only because it was frozen in extreme cold but as soon as it wakes up its all over.

Impossible question with too many variables imo.

Well Calvin is still growing. It was only a few days old. It seems to have epic potential. Extremely powerful, smart, resilient, etc.

We already know 1v1 predator wins more times vs Xenomorph than it loses.

So it would come down to imo what predators weapons could do to the thing or Calvin.

What effect the Xenomorphs blood would have on Calvin or the thing. Could they kill and or consume them without damage. Calvin is probably smart enough to figure out a way to kill it.

Could the thing consume Calvin and take over and if not can Calvin kill the thing.

Calvin was biological though that is why I am sure the Thing could infect it given that the thing could infect any organism.

Well it imo would depend on who's biology is more dominate, would it let another host take over. Is Calvin's biology corruptible.

Predator obliterates the other 3 with his shoulder canon and goes about the rest of his day

Who the fuck is Calvin?

He is like a super strong squid that is intelligent and can feed off others but not take control of them like the thing does. He can also eat you from the inside.

Ahhh from the movie "Life" still have not seen but it's on my to watch list.

Still havn't gotten to Wick 2 yet either...fatherhood man...you end up spending your time watching the wiggles or mother goose club.

It's been a long time since I've seen the thing. Doesn't it just kill and then shape shift/mimic the last thing it consumed? I didn't think it literally took over the host.

It digests the host...which makes the process so personal.

You become it's food.

You can see in the dog kennel clip that tentacles are wrapping around dogs and dogs are being sprayed with fluid for digestion.

So I'm not sure how it would deal with a xenomorph that has acid for blood?

I have to say that the movie "Life" really pissed me off. NASA biologist is finger fucking the first alien life form? It's as stupid as the Prometheus scene where they play with the snake things in the cave and die. The last thing a real biologist would do is allow some creature like that to touch him with only a rubber glove for protection. They wouldn't ever allow anyone to be in that close of contact with it, especially not within the first few weeks when they have no idea of it's potential.

I've played too much Mortal Kombat X to know that the Xenomorph is a scrub.

In theory you could show your kids these kind of movies and train them in the 'warrior arts' like people from Africa, Middle East and Asia often tend to do. Breed a generation of hardass mofos!! It might not go over well with the Wife if she is accustomed to western parenting but you never know.

But that sounds nice

It can spread itself to a large number of other 'hosts' and can infect more than 1 at a time through its blood/biology. Its blood its saliva is enough to infect and take you over. When they analyzed its 'cells' they quickly infected and then hijacked the original cells and thus took control of the original (host) organism and pretends to be the host. The Thing is also smart and knows to act just like its host would and knows to destroy communication and sabotage the humans. The Thing also chose to go dormant (freeze) itself more or less until it could be found by other humans in order to infect them and more easily escape the cold barren wasteland climate.

It can infect you from its blood or saliva. Basically touching it gets you infected. The Thing perfectly imitates hosts and absorbs them.

yup! it's like aids on steroids! process of a drop absorbing it's hosts takes longer though than what the thing was trying to do in the kennel.

That was like one of its more lengthy absorption processes. In the Sequel (aka prequel) it is shown and implied that it can absorb much quicker. In fact Blair proves that in the first film when he sees with a microscope how quick it takes over other cells.
