Welcome to the Super Official Pro Rasslin Ratings Thread! This thread is your haven for discussing ratings of all things wrestling, but mostly just Raw.

Do you want to cite to current low ratings as evidence that the product sucks? This is the thread for you!

Do you want to give excuses/reasons for the current low ratings while defending the product? This is the thread for you!

Do you want to take trips down memory lane and discuss ratings during the Attitude Era or of Christmas specials or of Nitro 2000 or during prior football seasons? This is the thread for you!

Enjoy, ratings specialists!

Bubba won't post here because no one will listen to him

When the glass breaks and the people smell, the ratings sore.

WWE has more talent then they've ever had before. The difference is they had direction for almost everyone in the past. Now they don't, and they establish constantly that Cena > everyone else. Vince changing things last minute, having non wrestling guys write for a show they know nothing about. It's an absolute mess beyond these reasons too. People constantly talk about production values and yet the heights of their production is commercial breaks during matches and social media ads.

Cena wins isn't a thing any more but they're paying the price for it. Wrestling is like any service industry, you pay for your fuck ups months or years later. Latency.

Raw is a lot better than it was. Still not as good as it should be. The ratings are a result of the shit they served in 2014 and 2013.

The quality of the show doesn't dictate the ratings

WWE is in a funky place

Pro wrestling as a whole might never be as popular as it was in the late 90's, that was the peak of popularity. But it's a completely different era, technology is different, there are more people than ever before, the television landscape is different, the situation can't be comparable. People can stream it live, or download it afterwards. So when we talk about low ratings, many are comparing it to years past.

And yet, it's still consistently in the top 25 every week, on a yearly basis. It's consistently in the top 10 on Mondays for the 18-49 demo. It loses to the competition like Big Bang theory and Football, sure, but it also beats out just about everything else in the 18-49 demo on monday nights. It's the only weekly live show to ever do this. It could have died off a long time ago, but WWE is very important to USA's ratings.

Ratings at an all time low while Cena is in the mid card. Coincidence? I think not...

Fuck me if Vince decides this is the problem.

Already tweeted him and Trips this and also complained that there weren't any Cena shirts in my son's size at the last event we went to (spoiler: i don't have a son lol).

You're welcome

According to The Wrestling Observer, the first WWE recap segment on ESPN News’ SportsCenter, which aired on October 13th and featured WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, drew 94,000 viewers.

That has to be a typo, right?
