Belal Muhammad recently stated he hopes Strickland “still champ when I get the WW title it’ll be the easiest path to double champ status”.
That’s not the mentality of a true warrior and his fights have shown as much.
Fans of the sport will be much faster to remember the entertaining fighters who left it all in the cage despite their W/L record. True warriors want to test themselves against the best not take the easiest paths. That’s why he has 6 finishes in 27 fights, 3/18 in UFC. Just looking to win on points doesn’t win many fans.

Belal is actually really good. His striking has improved, and I personally don't find him boring.
Remember he finished Brady on the feet. He really deserves the title shot and as usual, anything involving Colby holds up the division. If Belal doesn't take a fight then he's going to be coming off a long layoff.

Would've been so epic to see Belal emasculate Khamzat, too bad he ran off to 185. After he loses at 185 I'm sure he'll drop back down though and Belal will be waiting. Absolute Night Terror matchup for Khamzat, a guy that is literally impossible to take down, literally like trying to take down a motherfucking BRICK WALL, and will piece him up standing.

It's too late though. Belal is already 35. He's entering Robbie Lawler territory where the skills finally catch up with the physical gifts late in career and can only hold that for a few fights before the physical decline impacts the skills

He made an attempt at humor with an insignificant and slightly insulting comment.

And you took it waaaaay too seriously.

Maybe not for him though. He's not exactly Mr. Fast Twitch. He's more strength, bread and butter wrestling and striking. I predict he's got some more time to grow. And he hasn't exactly been in a lot of wars either. I think he could beat anyone in the division other than Rhackmonov and Ian Gary. Ian Gary is a beast.

At this point I wish anyone in the top 10 of Welterweight would fight because we are gonna forget about all of them soon.

He needs to frequent a local bar

I was thinking about this thread and then it came back to page one. So….

Few fans cared much about Belal. So he started saying more shit on social media. A known hack these days.

Now people like OP care just a little bit more about Belal (source). His social media persona may be enough to just get him over the hump. May get him a title shot, when his fighting alone couldn’t.

I do love good irony.

Finally, someone puts some respect on his name(Belal)<JackieThumbsUp>
