I did a similar write up before the previous event, and it was so well received that I've decided to do it again.

Here's the case I made last time:

http://forums.sherdog.com/threads/t...o-stay-up-and-watch-rizin-on-sherdog.3218587/

Read it and you'll see that all promises were delivered; and believe you me, we can make this happen again.

My only regret is waiting until precious five days before the event, so please, everyone, spread the word and rally the troops, message or mention everyone who may be interested, and Let's Make The Contenders Great Again!

5. This is the Best Way to Watch MMA

You can keep your burgers, Buffalo Wild Wings, and TUF noobs; I'll take weed, speed, a suspect Chinese stream and the company of decade plus Sherdog vets to really take in this glory. Simply put, this is the best vision for Mixed Martial Arts, and the best company with whom to share it. Epic Opening Ceremonies, horrifically irresponsible mismatches, a rule set that actually shows deference to The Just Bleed God, huge busted gravure models during intermission, and some legitimate talent thrown in for good measure. The day is nearly upon us; it's time to party like it's 2005!

4. This Could be Your Last Chance to do It

Following the uproar and disillusionment surrounding the last event regarding the lack of viewability from Canada, Europe, The States, etc, the report came in that RIZIN had in fact taken notice of the THOUSANDS of international fans desperate to watch their event (and indeed willing to pay to do so) and the Japanese bosses were going to set in motion a plan that would accommodate these devoted supporters; but alas, just five days out and it appears that the same Herculean effort will need to be made, last minute, by our own dedicated community in order to take this in live. I can't explain it, and I don't think anyone else can either, but it would seem that the powers that be simply don't care about reaching an audience beyond their borders, and if the enthusiasm for JMMA within their borders is any indication, this may well be your last opportunity to be part of something like this.

Don't Squander it.

Seriously go read one of the other pbp threads: best you'll find on The Daug.

3. THE OPENWEIGHT GRAND PRIX

Do I even need to say anything here??? Are you so burnt out and desensitized that even THIS doesn't rev your engine??? An OpenWeight grand prix, with PRIDE rules, on the grandest stage of them all - good luck finding that ANYWHERE else! And again, smart money probably says that this is the last time this shit goes down, so don't fucking miss it!!!

This is the sort of thing that will most assuredly show us that pure, ecstatic truth we see when we stop asking all these elitist, high minded, ivory tower questions about, "fairness," "approximate equality of skill level," and "fighter safety," and we just LET THEM FIGHT.

2. Cro Cop is Back and he's FUCKING HUGE

Never been a fan of drug testing and regulation in sports. Never been my thing. In my mind all it does is rewards the guys who are best at cheating and destroys the reputation of everyone else just trying to get on a level playing field. If these warriors can be trusted to go into OpenWeight Combat, surely they can be trusted to prepare for it as best they see fit.

This could quite possibly be Cro Cop's storied final form...

and he's going to be allowed to throw soccer kicks...

and he's fighting an Asian...

1. There WILL be Blood

This one won't be for the faint of heart.

Andy Souwer is fighting Daron Cruickshank, GOD-QUEEN Gabi is fighting a girl named, "Destanie," Crazy Horse is fighting a guy who's never fought, and they're even wheeling out ole Fujita to take on a Gaijin Kaiju who weighs eight hundred pounds.

Factor in soccer kicks, ten minute rounds, and a card that is otherwise rife with "creative" match ups, and you have a recipe for that red, red kroovy.

Drink it in, Droogies.

I am ridiculously excited for this. Can we update in this thread if anyone finds a way to watch or is that a sherdog no-no?

This is like living an era i didnt lived (i lived, but was too young to understand anything).

Also Sakuraba is fighting a Cup of Noodles! Seriously, what more could you ask for?

It's on Fuji TV no? I already have a bunch of links for channels that always play Fuji TV live. I'm not worried about finding a stream this time.

Ganryujima was on Fuji next, which is a different channel. The main Fuji channel is easy to find online.

Fuji TV's office building... pretty cool

dont forget about road fc openweight tourmanet the day before you can actually watch live!!!!

That last Rizin event pbp thread was epic. Everyone frantically looking for streams, raining down praise when someone finally found a working one, losing that stream and panicking to find another, and repeating the cycle over and over. One of the most exciting pbp threads in all of sherdog history. Can't wait for this next one!

that sounds fantastic. I was on twitter, saw there wasn't going to be a stream, and it was already 2 in the morning for me, so i went to be quite upset because i had been waiting in anticipation for the event more than anybody since the grand prix.

Sounds miserable lol, I'll watch the next day when I find the fights.

The OW GP is awesome and has me about as excited as anything mma related lately. Souwer fight should be good too.

I don't stream events and haven't since K1 2010 Grand Prix. I don't know if this is official or not. Just spreading the word

EverSport is a legit streaming service used by the PAC-12 football (mid-level college conference), Big East basketball (mid-level college conference), and Glory Kickboxing.

So Lordtensaimma recently posted this link:

http://eversport.tv/fight-sports/rizin/2016/9/25/world-grand-prix-2016

It says there that the stream is unavailable in Japan (obv), China and Croatia.

So I thought maybe the Croats got a broadcast deal with RIZIN because of Crocop, like the Russians did with Fedor last year. And sure enough, after some google translate fueled digging around in .hr sites, it turns out that 2 Croatian channels are broadcasting the entire event, starting from 8:00h Zagreb time, which checks out as 15:00h Saitama time, meaning they are showing the entire event (as Crocop is match #11 of 13).

Heres the info:

http://gol.dnevnik.hr/clanak/rubrik...l-hr-najbolje-borbe-na-novoj-tv---450694.html

The 2 channels are called

gol.hr

and

NovaTV

Apparently they stream their content in HD. Unfortunately this is as far as Im gonna get without speaking Croatian.

Could some of our Croatian sherdoggers give us some info on whether and how those 2 channels are vieweable online (similar to Match TV last year)?

P.S.: I'm aware all these stream threads might be cluttering up the forums. If the 2 channels are found to be streamable, we could open a general RIZIN streaming thread, as we would then have a total of 4 streaming sources.

It's listed on vipbox as well.

Just google watch fuji tv live, there's lots of links.
