The last man who beat green without taking any damage subbing him once on the ground was now champion Islam.

Islam. Also got his title shot immediately after subbing green.

Only fair Paddy gets his?

He beat Green arguably more impressive than Islam too.

Yes give him title shot so we can see paddy get mauled by a top fighter

Drew Dober slept Bobby Green recently, where’s his title shot?

Green was a short notice replacement for top contender Beniel "The Shah of Iran" Dariush. That fight was for the next TS, but unfortunately Beniel got injured.

Wikipedia Watchers dont mention that for some reason.

Ridiculous how?

Did Islam not earn the title shot for his next fight after he subbed Green in rd 1 without taking damage?

Did Islam fight other contenders after he beat Green through an impressive rd1 sub?

Unranked and beat a journeyman at the end of his career, that's ranked 15 and you're calling for a title shot?

Settle down, LOL

And? Islam didn’t fight Benny he fought Green.

If Islam had a close fight with Green, even if he wins, he wouldn’t get his shot, the impressive way that he did it, secured the shot.

Paddy literally just did the same exact thing but more impressively from bottom, putting Green out cold.

I am not going to explain to you the difference between these two situations:

- Two top contenders signed up against one another for a next TS and one happens to drop out and they need someone to quickly fill in

- An unranked fighter vs ranked 15 gatekeeper fighting to move up in the rankings

Maybe mull that over a bit.

Not yet. Calm down there. Get himself ranked in the top 10 first. Solid submission win though.

Islam had almost no big names at the time. He wasn’t a top contender from wins, but performances in how he won.

Green or Hooker was arguably his biggest names.
Very similar to Paddy, and rankings are just UFC lies, meaningless.

We all saw how he beat Green, almost identical to the current champion, and he didn’t need to do it against a short notice Green.
