I did some digging and found out who the judge was behind this absolutely ridiculous 30-27 Felder score. Her name is Maria Makhmutova. Yes, you got that right, that judge is a woman. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.



I can’t get over that score, so I had to look her up. It’s clear as day that she has zero understanding of what she’s watching. Zero, zip, nada, zilch. It’s like she just showed up one day and they just handed her a score card to write something down in and she went with it.

Mark Collett and Howard Hughes scored it 10-9 A. Shevchenko, 10-9 Modafferi, 10-9 Modafferi. Maria scored it the exact opposite. Last two rounds were all Roxy, but she (Maria) doesn’t have a clue. No fucking idea how you could score the last two rounds to Antonina, who couldn’t find any success in those two rounds.



So the question is this: What the absolute fuck is she doing in there as a judge? She’s incompetent, no, that’s putting it too lightly... She’s fucking clueless about fighting, about grappling, about MMA. Why, why why why the fuck is there a judge that doesn’t know the difference between a jab and a hook? As much as this sometimes fucks over fighters and messes with the UFC. The UFC in turn has previously used this bullshit to hide complete robberies vs difficult to deal with fighters.

If they always got it right maybe it would discourage more finishes. If fighters know it’s risky because they are garbage they try harder to end it

So the UFC hired those judges. They went out and got Maria to judge the co-main event in a big PPV card. Wow, just wow.

All time worst judge to my vague attention to such things is Adelaide Byrd. Many, many cases of that nimrod voting completely conversely to the other judges in attendance, and many of those decisions are just outright incorrect.

Not really because the 3rd round was (in my opinion) the easiest to score and had by far the biggest strike disparity; plus the 2nd wasn't clear cut because some people might give Barboza credit for top control, where as others would see that Felder was doing significantly more damage from the bottom.

Plus, as I've already made clear, she's reasonably attractive.

Thank you! I really appreciate the hard work you put in to this. That score card made me so sick!! I cant believe how she could have been put to judge that fight the only thing i can think of is that "someone" wanted Felder to win if it went to a dec.

I just dont understand it. The way i see it is that either she like you say has absolutely NO CLUE or she is giving the score cards that someone else has paid for. Its the only option there is. I wish i knew where one could make an official complaint about this. Who assigns these judges?
