I am saying the 'fall' o Rodney Carrington because he never really had a great rise, he was successful, even scored a brief network series. A while back I noticed he had new netflix special and it is brutal to watch. He went through a divorce that cost him much of the money he made and gained significant poundage. The special is pretty brutal as well, I turned it off, it was truly a man broken. Anyone else watch this or was/is a fan of Rodney?

I am not this guy. I swear.

I remember the name from like 15 years ago
I think he made some country comedy song that I liked or something but thats prolly the last time I've heard of him

Apparently I misjudged my audience pretty severely, fuck it, keep the gif train rolling

Yep. Carrington's stand-up was very funny, and some of his songs were hilarious.

Then he put out the video the OP mentioned. It was brutal! He was so bitter over his divorce, and obviously was very damaged by it and still in severe mental anguish over it.

I hope he can recover and get back to what he once was in stand-up.

^^ Exactly, he was straight bitter and the special came off as very desperate. I understand the feeling but it was just uncomfortable to witness.

I went home with a fat girl once a bunch of times.

Googled him and still have no clue who this guy is.

I truly never heard of him. He must have never really been much.

I listened to him and Roy d Mercer all the time in middle school. My grandfather loved em and we enjoyed them on road trips

Never saw so many titties at a comedy show than a Rodney Carrington show around 10 years ago. It was a good time. Sucks to see him take a downward turn on his career.
