Ihor Potiera might make his way into the top 25 when he beats shogun. After this fight I believe the ufc will give him a more known opponent as a tune up fight.

I predict that Ihor wins via submission to punches.

Has Shogun ever clarified why he has tapped to strikes before? It's so unlike him.

Shogun is going to knock this
250
guy out in R1

After that Shogun decides not to retire and gets TS and wins the LHW belt before retiring in style

Not sure he ever said why, but he tapped against jon jones and paul craig.

I don't believe he has ever publicly talked about it, but we all know Shogun is a legend who has been in some brutal wars, shown his toughness numerous times and had a long-long career. So in my opinion the tapping to strikes in those matches was just a very experienced vet who knew the state he was in, the position he was in and the competition he was against saying to himself and the ref "this is over, no need to take even more damage, it's not going to turn around from here".

It's where he belongs. Did you see him on the Countdown? He looks like he's 60.
Lol. He has some miles for sure.
The target audience for the UFC is most certainly not hardcore MMA fans, nor over 40's long term fans. Brazilians aren't buying anything at these inflated prices so Shogun has little to offer commercialy.

An ATG thrown into the trash.

Gsp taps once and gets skewered for it. Shogun taps twice, and one of them being to much lesser competition and its fine.

Thank you, it's so fucking stupid how much stigma there is for that.

It's not like Shogun has ever been a quitter. He's been in fucking wars and never even slowed down.

When you're done, you're done.

Wasn't me pal. I could give two sh*ts if a fighter taps to strikes, in fact I think its intelligent. Why take more brain damage for some drunks pleasure, live to fight another day. Joanna tapped to Rose as well, you forgot that one.

Why is he even back? It's weird.

In the Jones fight, Jones has already turned away, the ref was ending it, and then he tapped. I think that’s badass, he’s not someone who will take unlimited punishment. He has a limit, and it’s just beyond what the ref or opponent will dish out.

Official call on the Jones fight is tko to punches and knees. It was over before he tapped.
