Slow episode, but the ending made up for it.

- LMFAO at Supe Porn. Especially the Jack from Jupiter reference<Lmaoo>

- Poor guy was telling the truth; he wasn't bulletproof after all.

- I know Annie and Hughie are supposed to be the most likeable characters on the show, but fuck me rigid, they're also whiny AF. Yeah, Starlight, it's a tragedy your mom turned you into a Supe who can fly, shoot beams of light, bench a car and walk off .50 sniper rounds. Cry me a fucking river, darlin'

- The entire scene with Billy's father should either have been cut entirely or ended with Billy throwing him off the balcony. Boring and did fuck all to advance the story.

- Black Noir is one ugly motherfucker.

- The Scanners scene at the end rescued the entire episode. I originally thought that Head Popper was Cindy, but she's not there and the targets were too specific; Vogulblaum, Shockwave etc. I think whoever it is works for the Church of the Collective. In fact, I think it's the Fresca; the Church has put something in the drink that can be triggered as a form of explosive.

- Chekov's Rocket Launcher. Frenchie's going to use that on some cunt next episode.

Who all has drank the Fresca though? I know The Deep did.

Also I feel like I'm missing something, what happened to the archer?

I was thinking to myself a lot of Stormfront users must have her as their Avatar now, but I'm realizing she's Jewish, no way in hell they're doing that.

Don't be too sure. Hans Landa, the Jew Hunter from Inglorious Basterds, has a huge fan base among the Far Right. He's charming, can speak at least four languages, is highly intelligent and utterly ruthless. A lot of neo-Nazis love the character...in spite of the fact he betrays the Nazis and actually kills Hitler as soon as he gets a better offer from the Allies;)

He refused to cut off contact with his mom, so the church leaked a video that showed him having kinky sex with his partner. She dressed as a deer who Eagle, "hunted and mounted".<Lmaoo>

To be fair, the Deep was a piece of shit, but he didn't actually force himself on her(in the comics, that's the one line even Homelander himself won't cross). Doesn't absolve the Deep, of course, but at the end of the day, Starlight was dumb enough to believe his lies. And chose to give head to get ahead.

In the real world, I believe the casting couch is transactional and I think quite a few actors who have been raped there know exactly what they're doing before they're even in the room. This wasn't that. This was someone who had high ideals and thought her dreams were about to vanish in an instant at the hands of a single, depraved person. She had seconds to make the biggest decision of her life.

She was given a life most people would kill for.

The things we have that are good don't make the things that are bad hurt any less, in fact sometimes they make them hurt more. Her emotional baseline was shattered when she found out how much of what she believed was a lie. Also, this is all happening pretty quickly. Considering how well she's dealing with some pretty horrific situations she's been put in and how hard she's working to do the right thing despite the incomprehensible consequences, I say give her time. Sure, quite a few people standing on the outside of superpowers would trade places with her in a heartbeat, but that doesn't mean in her exact same circumstances raised the same way with the same beliefs those same people would react any differently.

That's a huge part of the show. Even Homelander is talking about how the fact he was lied to as a child had a dramatic effect on who he was, and how he refused to tell those same lies to his own child.

The show is doing a good job of showing how she's changing as a person. Just recently she had that comment on how she feels it herself, when they take the car from that guy.

Whether it came from God or a mega-corp, the end result is the same.

Respectfully disagree. She spent her entire life thinking she had been chosen by God as a force for good in the world. Turns out she's product and "good" is irrelevant. Those are two radically different results, even if cosmetically you think they're the same.

That's poetry. I'll be imagining that scenario before bed for a long time. My first instinct is to say that I would be devastated, while you would probably chin up and change the delta force.

I'd help you if you asked but I'd be all weird and quitty for years before thinking of a plan on my own

I gave it a lot of thought. I almost used SAS instead of Delta as KT is from the UK, but I'm not sure how he feels about the SAS, and everyone loves Delta.

And, unfortunately at this point, she's a cold blooded killer. She murdered that Sherdogger who was smart enough to realize FBI agents don't have British accents, the forum will never forgive her.

Fair points. While I disagree with them to a certain extent, I respect you for making them so eloquently.

This is one aspect of the show that is vastly superior to the source material: while he is still utterly vile, Homelander does occasionally display redeeming qualities. While it's clear he's motivated in part by ego, he also seems to genuinely care for his son. Hell, there are brief moments when even Stormfront appears to be human. For example when she looks at the woman holding the baby and remembers her own daughter.

They're a strange breed. I'm not gonna try to understand them.

That was jarring. Annie went from genuinely wanting to be a Superhero and help people to shrugging off killing a civilian and blaming him for not handing over his car. Never mind the fact the poor guy had no reason to believe they wouldn't kill him anyway if he gave them it.

I still laugh about the "So many arrows in a quiver" part. I keep bouncing between this and Fargo on tv. I'm powering through the Crossed comics, but fuck there are so many. I'll start reading The Boys later, now that I know they've deviated so much from the comics.

The moment you realize Butcher was about to kill an innocent baby to get revenge but Homelander saved the innocent baby.

"Good" and "bad" are very nuanced in this show. Huey and maybe Mother's Milk seem to be the only real "good guys" on the show.

He offered them a ride, they should have just taken it. @Alphaboy 's car couldn't possibly smell that bad. Why did you reach for the gun, @Alphaboy. Why
