THE BATMAN Resumes Production After Robert Pattinson's COVID-19 Quarantine

The Batman is back in action. “Following a hiatus for COVID-19 quarantine precautions, filming has now resumed on The Batman in the U.K," a Warner Bros. spokesperson said in a statement Thursday.

On Sept. 3, The Batman shut down production in London, with Warner Bros. stating that a member of the production had contracted the novel coronavirus. Sources told THR that star Robert Pattinson had been diagnosed with COVID-19, though the studio declined to comment on the specific individual who had tested positive.

The Batman, which is due out Oct. 1, 2021, previously shut down in mid-March as the pandemic forced film and TV shoots to pause work. It was only back in production for a few days before Pattinson's diagnosis shut it down again.

The film takes place during the second year of Bruce Wayne's battle against crime in Gotham, and it recently debuted the first trailer to strong reactions during last month's DC FanDome.

The Batman also stars Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Paul Dano as Riddler, Colin Farrell as the Penguin, John Turturro as crime boss Carmine Falcone, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred and Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham City DA Gil Colson. Director Matt Reeves is behind the project.

The Batman needs to get back in the Goddamned gym. Can't Bench the 275? #NotmyDarkKnight;)

Teh covids.

This girl, Suki Waterhouse, I have heard many times before but it's because she was banging every lead actor she can find. What's up with this chick? She's not that hot.

She's that hot and called Suki, 8/10 would bang during my main lead acting activities

I wish they'd make Batman older and include the whole batfam instead of re-telling Batman's origin over and over. Characters like Cassandra Cain and Tim Drake are just too awesome to not be included.

Damian Wayne is awesome. Especially in his first appearance where he's been trained by the League of Assassins his whole life and takes a more...final approach to dealing with bad guys than his dad.

"I fought crime tonight, father(holds up severed head)Crime lost"

Will they remove the masks with CGI after filming?

I like the vintage Corvette over a flashy supercar. Adds to the new Batmobile having a more muscle car feel to it

Am I the only one that thinks Robert Pattinson looks way too Euro to play batman?
Could you explain that? I don't get the concept of an American character being too Euro unless the actor has a heavy accent from some European country.

He looks like a dude from Europe, not a guy from Gotham. And he is not American, he is English. Is it really that confusing?

Yes. I mean he's not wearing a Sherlock Holmes cap and HE'S A DETECTIVE. Should we give him nine guns? WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?
