This warrior tribe left the Eurasian Steeps about 5000 years ago and conquered their way throughout the known world. They killed off the men in opposing tribes they conquered and mixed with the local women. Today, Yamnaya blood is found in the select ethnic groups throughout the world:
The Brahmins of India, the Celtics, the Greeks, and Nordic countries.
The Yamnaya culture also evolved the religions of these peoples.

Heck, the Vedas of India are written in Sanskrit which is rooted in Yamnaya speech, and the first gods of the Vedas (and Hinduism) are all mainly Yamnayan; like Indra, Agni, Soma. I'm surprised so little is taught about the Yamnaya.

If your heritage is from any part of the world seen in the photo, there's a chance you may be carring Yamnayan blood.

I don't think it's accurate to describe them as one tribe. The name comes from the burial method, and I think there were many tribes that migrated in many directions.

But it is very interesting that they genetically bridge the gap between parts of both east and west

Judging by the arrows, these guys missed my place by a hair. Just like the mongolians. How lucky we were, just minding our own business in the corner, lol

Probably took one look and went " Nah..."

Genghis Khan and the Mongols prototype

Edit: just found the legendary YAMMA pit fighting is most likely named after the Yamnaya people. They build pits to bury their dead, and their name comes from the Russian "yama", which means related to pits

Actually you are the most Yamnaya than the rest of Europe. No shame in that at all. These guys were the proto-Sherdoggers

From Wikipedia
In the Baltic, Jones et al. (2017) found that the Neolithic transition – the passage from a hunter-gatherer economy to a farming-based economy – coincided with the arrival en masse of individuals with Yamnaya-like ancestry. This is different from what happened in Western and Southern Europe, where the Neolithic transition was caused by a population that came from Anatolia, with Pontic steppe ancestry being detected from only the late Neolithic onward.[73]

Per Haak et al. (2015), the Yamnaya contribution in the modern populations of Eastern Europe ranges from 46.8% among Russians to 42.8% in Ukrainians. Finland has one of the highest Yamnaya contributions in all of Europe (50.4%).[74][c]

That's Zeus

Funny you mention that: The Vedic God Indra and Zeus have so much in common that it can't be a coincidence. It's clear the Yamnaya influenced both these distant people:

I mean, look at this !

- Both are gods of thunder and lightening
- Both use lightning as their main weapon
- Both live on top of a mountain
- Both the leader of 12 Olympians/Adityans gods
- Both live on top of a mountain
- Both killed sea monsters
- Both drove chariots

That's nuts ! FYI, I'm of Brahmin heritage and the initial results of my DNA test showed me 50% South Indian and the other half from the Steeps. When I uploaded my results to GedMatch and adjusted for ancient ancestral parameters for my Steep side, this was my result:
