Television ***The Americans - TV Series***

Just finished all 6 seasons of this show over the last two weeks. All I've got to say is wow, what a great watch.

It's about soviet spies next door pretending to be the all American couple during the cold War. However there are so many more layers to it. The pacing is excellent, with sometime intentional pauses and silences, great plot, great dialouge, great acting.

There's action, there's sex, there's romance, there's suspense, there's feels.

Overall just excellent

I totally recommend.

Rhys was amazing. Felicity as well. That show was one of the few shows I would wait for each season and each week to watch. Most of the time,‘I just binge a show after it is done. But this was a beautiful show. It is definitely a slow burn, which is something I absolutely love. One of the best shows in recent memory.

great show. Only season I didn't like was the 5th because it's just basically all to set up the final season. But the final season was great so it's worth it.

Didn't realize she was that serious of an actress until I binged this a few years back.

She sold the show from the pilot to the finale.

The ending was sad, truly feels, but it was the right thing to do

I love all the little pauses that happens when there is dialogue and the minutiae details throughout the show.

The Americans was probably the greatest of the under the radar shows. Even though it was on FX which is mainstream, the show did not get critical acclaim until it's later seasons. Such a well done show. The entire cast was fantastic.

I started watching this show for the first time recently. I'm on episode 3 of the fifth season. I actually looked up the show on Wikipedia a while back figuring I wouldn't watch it and saw a lot of the spoilers, but thankfully I don't really remember them and the show hasn't been ruined for me. I'm going to avoid reading this thread until I finish the show. I'll come back and give my opinions afterwards...
