I get he tapped to strikes but why don't they considered that a KO/TKO.

Because you don't tap when you get KO'd??????

Submission: the action or fact of accepting or yielding to a superior force or to the will or authority of another person.

Matt Serra didn't get the sub victory when GSP tapped

Because they define TKO differently than in boxing:
  1. Submission by:
    1. Physical Tap Out
    2. Verbal Tap Out
  2. Knockout by:
    1. when Referee stops the contest (TKO)
    2. when an injury as a result of a legal maneuver is sever enough to terminate a bout (TKO)
    3. when contestant being rendered unconscious due strikes or kicks (KO)

Does a tapout not signify submission? Branch submitted aka quit because he didnt want to die.

Any fighter who taps to strikes should be cut

you're mom should get her averies cut off bro don't disrespect fighters like that. that's some pussy shit. the fighters know more about what's going on than you. branch knew he was done and opted to not take extra unnecessary brain damage

GSP and Shogun both tapped to strikes as well and they're still very respected. sometimes you're just done dude. at the end of the day it's real fighting but it's organized and made into a sport--if you're done and want to give up you can do it and that's that. no shame in accepting defeat like a man/woman

gtfo dude

Same as boxing. There isn't submissions in boxing.
