Crime Sweden: 3 killed after bus crashes into bus stop

Interesting development. I just assumed the driver had a heart attack or something / passed out at the wheel - but the revelation above about the bus not being supposed to be in service with nobody but the driver on board sounds extremely sinister.....

Even if this turns out to be completely accidental the fact that we immediately consider that possibility if not probability of an Islamic attack illustrates how deeply changed we are as a society.
Everyone wants to ignore and pretend nothing has changed but we all know. Europe has fundamentally changed. Go to a German Christmas market and see all of the giant concrete blocks protecting the streets.

Cops never reveal the identity of people in accidents.

Doesn't appear to be religiously motivated or anything like that. Looks like an accident. I saw a video of the driver coming off the bus. Old guy looking dazed. Really sad situation.

The driver of the bus that mowed down a bus shelter in Stockholm on Friday, killing three people, was on his way to take a break. This was reported by the company Transdev, which operates the route for SL, to SvD.
The driver is described as experienced.
“He has been in the industry for a long time, but he may not have worked for us the whole time,” says Stefan Johansson, press officer at Transdev.
According to Expressen, the driver had been driving for two hours and was about to stop the bus.
The driver is still in hospital after the incident, but according to SVT Nyheter, he did not have any obvious physical injuries after the incident.
He has been questioned by the police, who state that there is no indication that the incident was intentional. According to information provided to Expressen, an illness may be behind it."

"The arrest of the bus driver who crashed into a bus shelter in central Stockholm on Friday has been lifted, according to the Prosecution Authority. After questioning the man, he has been released, according to the prosecutor. After the accident, which cost the lives of three people, the man was arrested on suspicion of causing the death of another. "After what has emerged during the investigation and after conducting interrogation of the arrested man together with the defense attorney who has been appointed, there are no reasons to keep the man detained any longer," says prosecutor Robert Slottenberg in a statement."
