I just got this protein bar pack from supplements canada store (popeye's supplements). i wasn't sure which bar to go with and the the guy there recommended the "supreme protein" bar over the other ones. the link below shows the nutritional content.

http://www.supremeprotein.com/protein-bar-panel.html

the only thing is that the 12 bars cost around $48 incl taxes.

so, my question is that - did i buy the best bar for the right price or was i just sold the most expensive product?

the sales person told me that it has only 6 net carbs with the other 27g being sugar alcohols that don't store into fat. 30 g high quality protein.

i got the bar cause i am university for long hours and would rather eat something nutritious then fast food.

any advice is appreciated.

Honestly, they look like every other chocolate covered bar on the market.... not a good thing. You should have went with the Xyience Xstart bars.

And the guy told you a fib about sugar alcohol.

thanks for replying.

i knew there must be something wrong when the first thing he showed me was the most expensive one.

i am gonna go and return the damn thing today.

If you're going to buy them... shop on line. Even that link you supplied (that chick is HOT) has another link to buy the same 12 bars for half of what you paid.

thanks for the reply.

I am at the university for long hours to. You are better off packing real food for the day. Every Sunday I cook a big meal that will last me all week. This week it was whole wheat pasta, 2 lbs lean ground sirloin, pasta sauce. Along with that I bring broccoli, apples (peanut butter), bananas. This costs me about $15 for the whole week.
