Chael sitting in his home studio commentating not knowing what the time is our how quickly someone escaped (keep in mind if there is no sub this decides who wins.) Below is spoilers so I'll keep the rest hidden in case someone wanted to watch it.

Ryan Bader moves from Rumbles back to an armbar then Chael says that ends the position and the time should stop. Then he gets in his ear that the time continues if you change right into another sub. Then Cowboy vs RDA Cowboy turns to a belly up armbar and the judge calls it a submission. Then in the replay you see that RDA was pushing off Cowboys leg, not even close to tapping. Then Cowboy says that he'll run it right back. Chael says that you cannot do that. Then he says well I'm being told they are restarting the match right now. Then before they cut back to them Chael says wait you can't restart the match the match is final. What a shit show. It's called Chael Sonnen's submission Underground and he doesn't even know the rules.

I enjoy the grappling/sub part of an mma fight. But, I have no interest in watching pure grappling matches.

lol at the spoiler. That's pretty bad.

Yea it's kinda bushleague. I used oí like metamoris until the Gracie monet scandal (not paying people)

Combat JJ ibj are alright. Sakuraba org is good as well.

at the end of the day SUG wouldn't really exist as it is now without chael, and it's GOOD for the fighters and BJJ guys all. it is what it is and im glad it exists

I mean it's better than nothing but I just got fight pass and this is my first time watching it. Chael is very entertaining but I mean c'mon. Know the rules if you're commentating a show named after you.

Also the 5 minute rounds seem so short. The EBI style 10 minute rounds seem way better for these sub only tournaments.

I love EBI, but I'm not a fan of open-handed strikes. I hope they stick to "submission only" for future tournaments.

Lol reminds me of Royce vs Ken Shamrock 2. They’ll figure it out, this has the potential to be a fun little side show with elite grappling talent+MMA personalities competing. I’d like to see Gordon Ryan take a crack against a Damian Maya or Werdum in SUG, he was scheduled to face Oleinik and Werdum in other grappling orgs before but they almost always without fail fall out.

EBI rules are solid if the rounds are longer. The five minute rounds usually just have one guy stalling the whole time and hoping he is better in the ot rounds.

Kind of ironic how a guy with 9 mma submission losses is commentating it.

You just can't stop him.

Is he still doing these events in an empty silo in a "secret location"? That alone makes this whole thing hilarious.

Also, I had no idea that he's not actually there in person. That's pretty funny too, especially if he talks shit. Like, he's just some disembodied voice with no filter.

He finished Oleinik in just over one minute with a kneebar.
