Sangs Academy

Check out the link. Its called TNT. He mixes Taekwondo with Muay Thai. The system is legit. And the top fighters are tough as shit.

There is also a new American Top Team that opened up near that Italian supermarket behind 163rd street on 164th street in north Miami.

Last, there is KO zone. I have heard some good things about that place. Its legit, but kind of pricey. KNOCKOUT ZONE MIAMI

Aside from these options, you are right, there is nothing but cardio boxing.

Or you can come to LA fitness on 125th street and biscayne on wed- fridays after 9pm and meet up with me and my boy in the back for some free taekwondo :icon_chee

thanks for the options everyone. thanks bayarea will definetly look into sangs and schedule permiting see if i can stop by la fit sometime.

checked out sangs website. there seems to be alot of emphasis on no sparing and a black belt club. are there pro and or amatuer kick boxers or muay thai competitors there?
and are any of his schools more fight oriented then others?

researched more lol at sangs.

anyone know anymore real options other then ffa? they re good but far. for now i am ok got a few other amatuer boxers to train with but will want to step it back up eventually. any of you guys fighters in mia? where do you train?

edit: cool knockout zone got jorge peirira, and looks like the have a fight team, nice looks legit. thanks

Heard MMA Masters was good but more of a Mma school. They also have capoeira pretty sure Luis Palomino teaches it. Ko zone seems like a commercial gym, very big, lots of students. I prefer smaller gyms where you feel more attached to your gym and the teachers care more about you and your progressions. Jungle martial arts seems good

Sangs is legit, but like any studio, they gotta train kids to stay afloat. Im not sure what your goals are, but it looks like you are trying to get serious. So definately KO Zone. You will pay about 125 a month which is not too bad. But again, you could also try the new American Top Team off of 164 and west dixie. They have a cage and everything.

thank you bay area and vamos. ya i know about masters their striking coach is a awesome capoeira guy i beleive he teaches it but i know baboon is sick at capoeira as well, i met him a few times, really cool guy, all over miami they are advertising his next fight i saw flyers around today.

teamvamos are you in miami? is the team vamos your talking about vamos bjj in li with chris and alex?

American Top team, there are several locations, doral, kendall etc, grade A stuff

I train with Real Life Muay Thai. The instructor is really great he has fought and lived in thailand and we strictly train Muay Thai. However he has recently moved here and has not set up a gym yet so we train at a park. We focus on pad work clinching and s&c. I used to live in NY and trained at The WAT which is definitely an impressive school, but the amount of attention I have received training with Real Life Muay Thai has made me progress a lot faster in all facets and the team is small and new. Check out the facebook page just google real life muay thai miami

oh and we train at kennedy park in coconut grove and the other group trains in deerwood park which I believe is down south by homestead
