The Carmel Area Creature is a puzzling humanoid sighted in Carmel, Ohio. The Carmel Area Creature is tall and gray, with presumably no arms and long, muscular legs. It is bipedal and walks in an odd manner with backward bending knees.

The witness, a 60-year-old former marine yet to be named and his wife were driving near Carmel on December 12, 2014, when they came up over a hill and saw a 7' tall slender, gray creature which is now known as the Carmel Area Creature.

The unnamed witness said the following:

"We recently bought a place in the Fort Hill area (in southeast Highland County). We first noticed after about 30 days of living here that we suddenly have a perfect circle that stays fresh green, no matter what weather, in our front yard. On Friday night (the 12th), we were driving home. After turning on Carmel Road, which leads to our road, we went around the curve by the Carmel church and then up a small incline and approximately 10 feet over the incline and in front of our truck, the 'alien' ran across the road and into the woods."

The man who had allegedly seen the creature this 12th December, was contacted by the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), who say that it’ll be interesting to find out about similar sightings in the locality. The Highland County Press published an account of the man’s bizarre encounter, mentioning that it was while driving along Carmel Road in Ohio that he spotted this gray creature.

According to his account, the creature had long, muscular legs, no hands, no face and knees fitted backwards. The anonymous man is also a former U.S. Marine, and a (former?) skeptic, according to his wife. She says:

"My husband saw it. He is a skeptic — almost 60 years old — and a proud Marine. He wouldn’t have admitted to seeing it if he hadn’t been in shock. I had him draw it for me when we got to the house. He says it was asphalt gray (our asphalt is gray) and about seven feet tall, no arms that he could see, but muscular in the legs area; no jawline, and its legs were bent backward and it leaned forward as it ran."

Some are saying the description of the Carmel Area Creature resembles that of the Fresno Nightcrawlers.

The Fresno nightcrawler, also known as the Fresno alien, is a cryptid that has made two appearances so far, one in Fresno, California and the other in Yosemite National Park, also in California. In both sightings, it's only seen in video footage. However, a man in Poland has also claimed to have seen the creature. It is said to resemble the Carmel Area Creature.

The creature has also been spotted in Yosemite where footage was again taken from what appears to be another security camera. This time there are two creatures, one being very small (less than .5 meters), and the feet of the creatures can be clearly seen. As well as what appears to be some sort of webbing connected from the knees to the upper body.

The cryptid has also been videotaped in Poland, this time from what appears to be a handheld camera judging from the shakiness of the footage. The creature can not be seen for too long but appears to have similar traits to the larger one taped in Yosemite.

Wasn't the first video proven to be fake? That Fresno Nightcrawler video.
Also also, isn't this way older than 2017? Remember seeing that video ages ago if I'm right.

IIRC, its not fake but it's a cat walking towards the camera, or something like that anyway. They broke it down somewhere and it's just the lighting etc that makes it look like something unknown.

Doesn’t pretty much every house now have high definition cameras all around the perimeter that adapt to low light? A lot of these myths are going to fade pretty badly now that any motion on anybody’s property results in a clear recording sent directly to the homeowner’s phone.

Could you imagine if it was real though. Imagine seeing that shit and you are by yourself, and you become known as “guy driving truck sees alien.”
Ide chill with that little blanket pants fella

Wouldn't want to run into something that weird. Reminds me of The Rake, which is another weird cryptid people report, although it seems to be just a running hoax. There's claims it originated as a creepypasta. It's still kinda fun to read about, and watch the supposed videos:
