You're back drinking at the Rabbit Hole Tavern and the crying rabbit owner turns to you and hands you an old bar towel. With this towel I grant you the power to go back in time and stop one MMA bout earlier than what happened in real life. Which fight do you stop, when do you stop it, and why that fight?

There are a few that standout for me, but I think I'd save Rich Franklin and the towel would fly with about 2:25 left in round 1 of the first Silva fight. As soon as Anderson started reaching for the final Thai Plum, I'd hop to the top and stop. I was a huge Franklin fan, loved the whole teacher who looked like Jim Carrey turned into bad ass fighter thing. Seemed like a nice respectful guy who happened to be tough as nails and pretty skilled. I'd never seen him lose to that point, and then knee after knee after knee to the body just wilts him, there is a point, just before the end, where Rich has his back to the cage, they've just separated before the ending clinch comes, and Franklin kind of wobbles and his head goes into a little shake, like I can't believe this is happening to me.....and it is that point you know he is broken. My towel throw would've saved him that last shattering knee to the face, in a fight already lost by trying to thai clinch with a future legendary goat candidate.

I would go back 49 minutes and stop you from posting this thread.

That thread is from the same guy. That's what I mean by "TS's style".
You're kidding, same person?

It's almost like I was using that example from days ago to show the guy ITT isn't the only one that gets DMF vibes from OP. You don't say!?

You'd be better off showing/highlighting similarities between DMF and TS.

One might say it's the random unintelligible-ness of it all

Another may say you're just dense af, given the way these 4 posts just played out.

Toodles.

My hat goes off to you!
I felt EXACTLY the same way!!!

However, if I had to stop a fight, it would be Cain & Junior 2!
And definitely I would not sign for the third one either, but Junior was such an amazing fighter and champion, I just wish I could have saved his soul, because at that point, while I truly believed he would die before quitting, IMHO Junior learned about fear of actually dying before quitting.

Franklin vs The Crow. That beat down ended an exciting fighter's career.
Ngannou vs Lewis. That fight took years of my MMA fandom.

Rory vs Robbie Lawler 2.... I honestly would have thrown in the towel for either guy in round 3 or 4.... saved years of both of their lives. .
