Last nights supposed loss was more of a win, and no one did shit in that black beast fight, so definitely wasn’t beaten, but in the first Stipe fight, he was beat to the punch standing, and completely dominated on the ground.

"oh no, it was all takedowns that's why Miocic was piecing Ngannou up on the feet"

"oh no, Ngannou was already gassed" when all that was happening in the very first round

"oh no, Ngannou was green" despite looking hardly any different in that fight - and ko'ing everybody before and since that fight - while Miocic looked like a grandpa in their second fight

It was a master class performance by Stipe, but Francis showed an underestimated aspect of himself in the rematch - His ability to add new skills to his game. He's a good student of combat sports.

Mike Tyson carved him into an actual top boxing contender in literally just a few months as a trainer, but obviously much of this is due to Francis' ability to learn and apply different skills. He's a combo of great power, but also a great sponge of the intricacies of fight technique.

Stipe clowned him in the first match with good counters and mixing his wrestling in. It had Francis confused.

He made the adjustments for the second fight and not only pieced Miocic up but countered his wrestling attempts much better.

i mean, there's an order of events. stipe fans/ufc shills/corporate employees are trying to hold this one win, 5 years ago, as some sort of proof that stipe is the better boxer today. even though after that, ngannou flatlined his ass. 5-6 years ago, in a MMA match, with the threat of the takedown, stipe looked good. but ngannou already revenged that loss and KO'd him cold. something stipe never did. shill harder and cope.

Imo that was stipes best win and a great strategy employed to beat Francis. With that being said, Francis has developed a lot as a fighter since that fight apparently including a better gas tank as he went all 10 rounds vs fury.

Big Frank got his get back.

If Francis boxed like he did vs Stipe the 1st time for sure Grank would barley be waking up today

I said it before you're gonna be waiting a long time before anyone does that to Ngannou again, if it happens at all. But it doesn't matter no one wants to give Stipe any credit or respect for his great victories even though doing that to Francis to break the HW defence record was historical and one of the best performances in the division's history.

dude, how is this even relevant? 5-6 years ago, Stipe pieced him up, in a stand up only contest, where the greatest boxer alive stakes were on the line. this is not relevant to any arguments.

Stipe had 15 minutes of control time. Re-watch fight KK.

I mean what is the point? That 5-6 years ago Stipe was better then? OK? Ngannou flatlined him later. 10-12 years ago Stefan Struve beat Stipe bad. Where's the respect for Stefan Struve then? See what kind of idiotic game this is?
