First Teaser Trailer for Steven Spielberg's Sci-Fi Thriller DISCLOSURE DAY

If you found out we weren’t alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you? This summer, the truth belongs to seven billion people. We are coming close to … Disclosure Day. Universal Pictures is proud to release a new original event film created and directed by Steven Spielberg. The film stars Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson and Colman Domingo. In theaters June 12, 2026.

<WellThere>I guess this is Government's way of telling us the truth through a movie.

Spielberg might the GOAT and Close encounters is one of my favourite movies, but modern movie making stinks and basically all these past prime legends make crappy movies, so I am very sceptical over this. Looks interesting but reeks of modern movie making. Everything is very on the nose and bland, along with the cast. I hate the look of digital cinematography. Way too clean and studio like. Lacks the magical look, older movies had especially from Spielberg. Close Encounters looks so much better than this.

Something from a big director that isn't a sequel or adaptation. Hope it does well.

Why seven billion people when there's eight billion?

Personally I think it looks low budget like some crappy Christian film, especially with the dialogue.

Why have the government reveal anything, when a Hollywood director is right around the corner...

It looks...okay. Spielberg hasn't exactly been on top of his game for the last little while, so I'll maintain a cautious optimism.

Doesn't look that compelling. Looks like the trailer gave too much away.
Its giving strong The Happening meets Signs vibes.

Teaser trailer drops the same week 31 Atlas makes it's closest approach to Earth?

I'm sure that's just coincidence...

Movie looks fun
Emily Blunt is fuckin hot. Ill be watching this one at the theater

I love Spielberg, I think he's the greatest film director.

But I didn't like this teaser trailer. I think he lost his touch. But I hope I'm wrong.

It's hard to tell just based on the teaser. But I remain cautiously optimistic.

Btw, why does the cast seem to be made of a bunch of mid-carders? There's Blunt, Firth, and then a bunch of nobodies. Where's the big names?

Not sure what to make of it, from the trailer, but intrigued enough to know I will go to the cinema for it.
