UFC's YouTube channel posted Joe Rogans first ufc appearance and it got me thinking. most casuals miss the nontesting days and juice head comicbook looking guys coleman, "victor" belfort, and all the way up to trt vitor and ubereem. why hasn't hasnt another promotion rocketed off with no testing? rizin and one seem to lack (at least in the states) marketing. is the weekly ufc schedule making it hard for other promotions to gain traction? if bellator could just get rid of any testing, would their stock go up?

not usually one for making threads, but was curious what others think. I'm more pro usada and pro fighter safety

Why havnt their been mma orgs open about allowing their fighters to cheat by doing physically enhancing drugs?

Probably ethics lol

not more, i think there are plenty. but I'm surprised they haven't took off. i feel like testless bare knuckle boxing is getting more chatter that roid farm ksw, yakuza ran rize or "pretend we are clean" One FC.

ONE FC

The steroid fight league with Honor!

I believe the Comissions would make quite a fuzz about that. Can't hold fights if you don't get a license.

PED testing also makes you more palatable in the eyes of big buissness. Part of the UFC's big push for testing is to get TV-deals. Spike-TV and Zuffa might have been okay with bare-bones testing. But ESPN isn't. Those guys demand that you hold higher standards so to avoid scandal.

If you want free PED Org -- you need to go international. Check out Brazilian or Russian orgs. Remember that Ural Hulk guy for instance who had to leave the UFC before even having a fight?

ONE Championship and RIZIN might as well be the top steroid leagues. If fighters want to use, its best to go there.

I feel that Bellator's drug testing is more of an IQ test. Bobby fucking Lashley fought there and never tested positive. Shows how dumb Josh Barnett really was.

Steroids? KSW like it

Bellator follows same testing as pre USADA UFC. People in bellator can still juice if they are smart.
USADA is a black eye on the sport. Even juice off season to help with injuries. Anderson got caught juicing when he was healing that leg break, any doctor would have said steroids would help heal such an injury but USADA and their off season testing has gone too far IMO.

I’d rather see no testing or at least back to pre USADA

I think what your talking about is pretty much what takes place in most orgs no matter what they say publicly.

UFC probably has the least amount of cheaters.
After that it's a crap shoot. But after you get out of the top few orgs in the sport, I'm pretty sure it runs just rampant and with most orgs having little to zero testing.

Doesn't all he has to do is inform USADA this is the injury, doctor prescribed this, etc. etc. As long as he follows the guidelines of reporting it properly my understanding is he is ok. But at the same time you can't have a doctor prescribing you a some banned performance substance for month after month or for something that usually the said drug would never be prescribed for.

It appears a lot of issues with USADA come down to fighters not doing their part or failing to understand procedures. By no means am I saying USADA doesn't have its own problems.

i think the people will always try to find loop holes
USaDA will also always have flaws in false positives
