It's not one I re-read too often, but it's the best Bachman book imo (although The Running Man has the best ending)Are you referring to The Long Walk? It;s really not that great imo

I read the original novella and wasn't impressed, so I'll be skipping this. The Running Man looks interesting, although of course it can never compete with the glory of Prime Arnold.![]()
Exactly.F£ck Stephen King.
Exactly.
He has a couple good offerings, but I firmly believe it's only because he uses the million monkeys method
That's because Stephen King isn't very good at writing endings. Shawshank and Dolores Claiborne are the only 2 that I think he ended well.Does any King movie adaptation keep the book ending? Id say more often than not theyre heavily altered or changed completely.
And then they destroyed his great ending in the movie version of Shawshank, poor guy cant catch a break! That's because Stephen King isn't very good at writing endings. Shawshank and Dolores Claiborne are the only 2 that I think he ended well.

But there's a whole host of books that he wrote where at some point he just gets sick of his own story and just introduces some unexplained magic that saves the day.
Needful Things was the worst one. Thank God they fixed it in the movie.
