No one want to see fighters crying in pain over their balls. Sometimes they wine for a minute which leads to much boredom for the paying audience. As well as for me who isn't paying but that's beside the point.

What is important is this:

Look at this video from Thailand, where steel cups are used:

He gets hit straight in the balls with a kick and just shakes it off thanks to the STEEL CUP.
MAKE IT FUCKING MANDATORY RIGHT FUCKING NOW!

I would rather the chance of a fight being stopped for a short period of time after a fighter has been kicked in the balls than have the whole fight stopped because of a broken foot.
Which would become a common occurrence. Replacing one problem with another is not the solution..

People would try and aim their nuts at their opponent's feet when their opponent goes for a kick, just so they could get a tko victory (broken foot).

I've never seen/heard of a Muay Thai match being stopped for this. Do you have any examples to back up your belief that this would be a common occurrence?

Fandom aside, I'd rather see someone who can't control his strikes sustain a foot injury than see a guy who's fighting clean get castrated by a wild shot.

On the other hand maybe the fighter who kicks his opponent in the groin deserves the chance of maybe breaking his foot.

sounds like a great idea TS, but has anyone ever broken their foot with the steel cups?

I have no idea, but a sparring partner of mine blasted my balls with an inside low kick and got a very swollen foot as a result. He had to abort the training session while I and my balls continued sparring. The shit works I tell you. More people should use it.

Bobby Green broke his foot from his last fight?

Manhoef's steel cup KO'ed Hunt though.

Fuck your feet. Learn to place your strikes correctly. I'd go a step further and say they should put a spike on it.

TS has elected himself as the guy who will go around and check to make sure everyone has their steel cup on.

Salute TS.

imagine getting a concussion due to a steel cup from the north south position or from hunt's butt bomb..
