Star Wars Discussion: Obi-Wan vs. Mace Windu

I just heard today about how apparently J.J. Abrams will be directing the new star wars movie. It got me thinking about the series and I remembered a thought I had many times before that I could never come to a conclusion about. In all of the fantasy match-ups I've thought up of over the years, very few would leave me as clueless as the idea of a Obi Wan Kenobi vs. Mace Windu outcome.

Let's say it took place during Ep. III.

Obi-Wan Kenobi was 38 years old, ~5'9.5" tall and 176 pounds.

Mace Windu was 53 years old, 6'2" and 185 pounds.

I don't want to post a huge thing about in this post but I will say that Obi had a very defensive style while Windu's was very aggressive, both were well-versed in usage of the force so I think it comes down to who had the better stamina. I slightly side with Obi winning a long and drawn out battle after his older, and much more aggressive opponent tired out because Obi was quite fast and could parry his opponents strikes for awhile until he saw an opening.

I think Obi takes this, I know he isn't suppose to be as skilled as Mace, but Obi has a way of rising to the occasion. Also, I think if you piss him off he has this way of actually kind of fighting a bit angry but not losing control of his feelings.

Don't really have any hard facts except from my observation of the two characters from Episodes 1-3 and from the Genndy Tartakovsky's Star Wars animated series, but I'm going with Mace Windu.

Hard to say.

Probably leaning towards Windu. I'm thinking of Ep 2 with Jango Fett, Jango actually gave Obi a fight, while Mace took his head off easily and quickly.

Obviously this doesn't mean Mace is a lock, but id say he wins 6 out of 10.

I'df say Vader or Dooku beat either of them 8 or 9 times out of 10.

I'm shocked to see so many people picking Obi-Wan. This dude displayed more power than the Emperor (deforming him for life), thereby displaying more power than Yoda, Dooku, Obi, Anakin, etc..

It took a combination cheap shot from Vader and lightning blast from the Emperor to finish off Windu, and even then that's only because Mace hesitated torn between doing the right thing or just finishing the enemy off.

Vader killed the emporer and took his lightning in the process. As soon as Windu got hit with that lightning he was dead, instantly.

Vaders the one who beat him mostly, Windu was a great lightsabre duelist, without that or his hand he was fucked.

Was he? Mase had no problem defending Sideous' lightning attack. I think that displayed more force power then anything ol Ben did
