DISCLAIMER: I received these free from Sprawl to do a review, however the thoughts and opinions expressed below are my own based on training in these shorts.

I have to start out by saying these are hands down the best MMA fight shorts I have ever trained in. I have owned 4 or 5 pair of Sprawls in the past, and they were always very good, but not my favorite. The Fusion 2 are for my favorite now though.

Pros:
1. The new material is thicker than previous Sprawl models I have tried, and the most comfortable out of any fight shorts I have worn. They feel and look more like a pair of thick basketball shorts, as opposed to that thin, canvas feel that many fight shorts have.

2. Comfort. Because of the new material, these shorts feel more like a pair that you would lounge around the house in, as opposed to a pair of fight shorts. I could literally sleep in these shorts and be comfotable.

3. Wist lock band. This is brilliant. It is a thing piece of rubber inside of the shorts that helps grip onto you so they do not pull down. You can't even feel it while you wear them, but if you try to pull down your pants, the grip really helps stop them from slipping. Great addition to these shorts.

4. Side splits are now hidden. Because of the overlapping leg design, the leg slits are fairly well hidden so it makes the shorts look much better, IMO.

Cons:
Really not many cons to these shorts. If I had to nitpick, I would say the two below are the only cons I really noticed at all, and they are really not very noticeable.

1. More stray threads that I would have imagined. Not really too noticeable, and it doesn't affect the durability at all, just noticed a few more on my shorts than I normally do.

2. The velcro on the front is slightly larger than I like. Can feel slightly funny at first because it is so wide and thick, but after wearing them for a minute you honestly don't notice it.

All in all, I would have to give these shorts a 9.25 out of 10. They are about as good as it gets, and can't really think of anything to make them better. When I go to buy a new pair of fight shorts, I will be picking up another pair of these without question. Best fight shorts I have ever worn.

Sprawl V-flex > fusion rubbish

How can anyone feel comfortable with a band of rubber inside the waist band. I bought the fusion 1 and hated them i havent worn them since and i no one wants to buy them off me so they have stayed in my draw for 2 years. plus the newer model shorts have gotten much heavier and thicker for some reason compared to the v-flex

I can do everything in V-flexs and be comfortable. Everything Sprawl has done since the v-flex is just a gimmick such as rubber panels on the thighs.

Clinch Gear make the best shorts.

Can't disagree with Clinch Gear being awesome but I love the rubber lined waistband on shorts like Sprawl Fusion and Hayabusa. They help keep the shorts from riding up my stomach when grappling. To each his own though you should put your shorts up on ebay someone will def. buy them.

What color scheme/size and how much are you looking to get for them?

This review helped me choose to buy a pair of the 10th anniversary edition fight shorts. Really looking forward to grappling with them.
