1. Alessio has a 4-5 UFC record and got in the company as an undefeated fighter.

2. Alessio has never been knocked out in his MMA career. Out of his 5 losses, 4 came by decision and 1 loss came by submission.

3. Without ever being knocked out, Alessio was always well aware of everything after his UFC losses.

My point is: he was losing quite often in UFC and was always being ignored in post-fight interviews. Never crossed his mind the idea of someone KTFO not being able to give a post-fight interview. Just imagine the grudge he accumulated until he got that one off his chest. Dude was pissed LOL.

He is an awkward dude and I'm a fan.

I remember after he ko'd that weird dude who get stalling. Once he got on the mic, he started quoting family guy/peter griffin saying shit like "bapara boopy!" (Family guy italian skit), the guy's got a funny sense of humour

The sense I get is that the guy lost 3 fights, felt like he was on the verge of getting cut and no one gave a fuck about him, and Dana tossed him to one of his hyped fighters as a sacrificial lamb.

Now he's getting appreciation just because he landed a nice kick and won, and he will be forgotten tomorrow again.

If he loses, just like all the other fighters that don't have huge social media presence, talk trash or have huge win streaks, he will get cut because the UFC doesn't give a shit about him, or who he is as an individual and his need to make a living unless he produces highlights.

Or maybe he's just a weirdo.

He is just an average fighter with awkward social skills that knocked the fuck out of UFC's new hot prospect. That fact itself is beautiful!! Hahahaa

It seems he has a vendetta :)
I get can get behind it

We already know that interviewing fighters that just got KOed is not a good idea. He didn't think that one through, but I can appreciate his concern for how easily we tend to disregard the losers.

Final thought - Am I the only sherbro that can't hear or read the name Alessio without thinking "Apocalyptic"?

Some clumsy virtue signalling is all it was.

Better to capitalize on the opportunity when you have some favorable publicity, because if he starts losing again, he will be dismissed again. It's dumb to take it personally.

As for interviewing losers, except for a retirement fight or a controversial decision, it's closer to rubbing salt in a wound than anything beneficial.

I like it. He has his own shtick. Alessio does things his own way. Everyone is talking about him, so clearly it's working.

Dana said he and his whole team were mad-dogging him after he congratulated them after the fight. He truly doesn't give a damn anymore.

It was weird, yeah. Funny as fuck that he stopped the Buckley hype train though.

At least post the video if you're gonna make a thread about.

I thought his interview was super weird and unnecessary. Why would they interview the loser on the undercard?
