What was that about?

Let's talk about it

Gheigh Jeezuz is always doing "iffy" stuff.

Es normal

If you ain't cheating you ain't trying is Yoel's motto.

lets talk about this instead

Didn't he get water poured on him once, then the ref cleaned him off, then the corner poured water on him AGAIN immediately after the ref wipe him off?

I don't know how much water was poured but corners pour water over their guys heads ALL THE TIME. Some refs give a fuck, some don't.

Romero never got water poured all over him. He poured it on himself. Doesn't really matter in the end, but that's what happened.

Still think he knees Weidman's brains out regardless if it happens or not.

They probably tried to make him more slippery so grabbing him would be harder. He poured water on his lead leg's thigh, so Weidman's single leg takedowns would suffer.

Ref was ready for the nonsense.

Ref was also wrong on the eyepoke, because he clearly thought that Romero is a cheat. He's under the magnifying glass nowadays for sure.

He was guilty of stalling the start of a round in the Kennedy fight as well.

He's a cheater, a supposed "Soldier of God" and then cheats and spits all over religion, he's a scum. All I have to say, he won the fight, yes. Props to him, respect, but the water was a cheat and he's done it before as well as holding onto the fence and other things against the rules.

I love it, the sour Weidman and Kennedy fanboys are watching their American heroes crushed like worms by Fidel Castro's universal soldier.

He was cleaning off weidmans salt

Pouring water over a fighter isn't against the rules....it's only a problem if the water lands on the canvass and someone then has to clean it up....it's a stalling tactic used in boxing all the time, that along with leaving a piece of the glove tape loose, spitting out the mouth piece etc.

I didn't see his fight but every fight of Romero's that I watch, he always does little dirty things like grab the fence over and over, stall in between rounds, etc.

You seem very salty bro, some Cuban salsa might cheer you up.

That's because you're a newb who just started watching mma, you should watch more fights.

Maybe I missed that, but what I saw was Yoel pouring water on his head and chest, his corner wiped it off (legs included), but the ref or whoever it was thought there was still too much of it and wiped him some more. It's not illegal and Yoel's corner did dry him up pretty good, while Yamasaki pushed him with a look of disgust on his face and later didn't believe there was an eye poke when the replay showed there was.

So it's making a big fuss out of nothing because of preconceived notions, methinks.
