I have been looking for a used Pick up Truck lately and i found an ad on autotrader, for a 2003 Ford F-250 in amazing condition for $7,200.

I emailed him and said i was interested, he emailed me back right away saying we are going to use Ebay for the transaction and explained how it will all work, so me not knowing anything said ok lol. I said i will need a couple days. I asked for the VIN number because i wanted to see how much insurance would be, he responds saying "sorry i didn't write down the Number before i left", honestly i diddn't think much of it.


This morning i decided im going to buy it, I email him and tell him to tell me the details i need to send him for this transaction. So im sitting on the computer browsing waiting for his reply and decide hmm maybe i should look this whole wiring money through ebay for this transaction, during my search every page was SCAM SCAM SCAM lol, I decided to look up his email and the first thing that comes up is Kijiji/autotrader SCAM.

Thank god i looked up it. Dodged a bullet there. Anyone almost fall for any of these? i have never bought a vehicle , my parents gave me one of theirs until i found my own, I had no idea. Kijiji accually has a warning about this but autotrader doesn't.

He says you have a "5 day inspection period" Thats also why i was going to go through with it.

I think so, or Western union. I never got that far enough to know how he wanted to go through with it other then going through with Ebay. From what i read about the scam i think it goes through western union

You should try to scam him back somehow. Go look at the truck, ask if you can take it for a test drive, then rear-end a friend of yours while driving and have your friend claim whiplash and sue the guy's insurance. Because he probably doesn't have insurance. Unless that is illegal where you live in which case don't do any of that.

Most internet scams are related to tracking numbers.

They will make you pay through paypal or western union money orders and then ask you to ship through a broker that doesnt provide a tracking number. When the scammer has received your item, he calls paypal or western union and tells them he never received your item. Since you don't have a tracking number, you can't prove you sent the item. The buyer then gets his money back, and the item.

Now in your case, you are the buyer, and he's the seller. I'm not sure how this scam works.

I applied for a scam job on Kijiji to be a secret shopper. I have the fake cheque right beside me here too.

I'm fortunate that it was too good to be true, otherwise I might not have looked into it to the extent that I did.

I almost got my Moneybookers account hacked because of a perfect scam email.
Luckily, I checked the email first. I was very tired when I first read it.

About 75% of my money is in that account and I most of my poker and betting accounts had the same password. Even though I didn't send them anything, I scanned my PC, laptop and Mac and I changed all of my passwords into difficult ones.



In 2008 in Italy, a big black guy grabbed my wrist in the middle of the day on a high school trip and he tried to wave me a bracelet. I did an old self defende technique and threw him on the ground.

I knew where it was going because a guy form my class had the same thing done to him by another dude and he was ''forced'' (read: intimidated) to pay 5 bucks for the bracelet.



During the same school trip, a seemingly homeless lady came up to me and the group of students I was with. She showed me a picture of her two children and begged for money. A guy from the group told her no and she walked away.

A little whil later, another homeless woman came asking for change and she showed the SAME picture. I will never forget that. It was pretty funny, but sad at the same time.

They probably worked for some guy who's like a pimp, but without the sex.
