So 12 rounds boxing IS harder than 5 rounds MMA?

It is much lesser space than octagon you are constantly working

Remember all the people here saying how 3 minute rounds would be easy for Conor because he's used to doing 5 minute rounds and he would have much more rests because 12 rounds instead of 5?

It is not "easier" it is "different." The conditioning for the two are different. Just because you can go strong for 5 rounds of MMA doesn't = cardio prepared for 12 rounds of boxing and vice versa.

Yh where are these people. Are they still alive?

Smaller ring probably makes 12 rounds boxing tougher than 5 rounds MMA, if you're only standing up which Conor pretty much always does.

Wrestling hard for 5 rounds is something else tho.

I remember and when i told em they truth they said i was a "retard". Them idiots look pretty stupid today.

I think the MMA fighter lasts longer cardio wise in boxing than a boxer lasts cardio wise in MMA.

I think this is more of a Connor McGregor issue than it is a boxing or mma issue. This is not the first time we've seen him get extremely tired.

a little concerned for connor after seeing that interview.

usually he's a very clear speaker, but this was hard to interpret at times. i don't think i've heard him slur his words like that before.

GOOD thing the ref stopped it when he did.

McGregor has shit cardio in MMA too.

And yes 36 minutes is longer than 25. And the pace Mayweather took later in the fight was relentless.

This place brings out the worst in people. I lurked here for years before I signed up....... there was always banter but it was intelligent banter, I can't remember it being too insulting but not long after i joined it went to shit unfortunately...... and it brings everyone down a little I feel

Hes concussed by a brittle handed bitch

Well you're not gonna see Floyd's cardio hold up if they even just added kicks, clinch fighting and elbows.

Different forms of athleticism.

Not harder, you can't really quantify difficulty. It's just different. There's less moments to disengage from the match in boxing because of the ring dimensions.

There's clinch, but it's not like MMA where you can work something to your advantage. Conor said he realized he was just burning energy for something that wasn't scoring points.

The scary thing is Floyd was just warming up. He basically slept the first 4 rounds.
