Silly rant. Airport toilets in the UAE are disgusting

So, last Saturday I flew from Australia to the Netherlands. Whenever I travel to or from Australia, I either go via Dubai or Abu Dhabi (if you ever have to fly anywhere via the UAE, go via Dubai. They have the far superior airport). There is this one thing that always annoys me there, which I know is silly. It's the toilets.

First of all, I avoid the squat toilets. Fuck that shit. I want a normal porcelain throne. Now, let me paint the picture of a normal toilet at the airport. There is always a (poorly paid) employee with a mop present in the bathroom. Whenever someone leaves a stall, this dude will ask you to wait and he'll mop the floor. You'd think that this would mean that all toilets are absolutely pristine. You are wrong. You see, every toilet has one of these toilet hoses to wash your ass with, which means that thousands of people wash their asses in those toilets. Given people's absolute incapacity to aim and give fucks about others, this means that there's ass water everywhere at all times and the toilets always smell disgusting.

That poorly paid employee from before? He's basically mopping up ass water 12 hours a day. Talk about a shit job.

Dallas airport bathroom had no toilet paper and was filled to the brim with shit. What did I do? Shit ontop of the heap and wiped my ass with paper towels, which is probably why it was clogged in the first place. Worst airport bathroom I've experienced.

If i have to go I'll use the hc toilet Larry David style and just layer it with paper. Hate those cramped stalls for non-hc people. Come to think about it i am even more awkward than Larry David.

Ive traveled a decent amount but the worst restroom I've ever been in was at buddist temple in LA' s Chinatown. When i walked into the restroom it was like traveling into time machine. The best way to describe it would be like a 50's pow camp shitter. No paper in any stall(open) and piss literally everywhere and overflowing. Holes from hell in the floor and walls. It was weird because the rest of the temple was pristine and all the monks looked to be well groomed.

best - singapore, shanghai
average good - amsterdam, london, paris, most of europe, moscow, beijing
average bad - jfk (what the fuck is with those small-ass doors that do not even close properly so you can see people walking by through that crack and they obviously can see you. ffs america, fix it)
worst - anywhere in the arab countries or places with a lot of connections to the arab world or africa, i.e Ataturk in istanbul. it's absolutely disgusting.

i'm not even going to talk about african airports. like, no. that doesn't even qualify as bad.
