Her performance Saturday night was very impressive.

She was able to tear through PVZ pretty cleanly. And I know everyone wants to hate on Paige, but she's not a bad fighter. She's undefeated so far in the organization and looks to be a VERY talented grappler.

And let's be honest, 125 is a complete wasteland compared to the murderers row that is strawweight. I know she feels she performs best at 115, but why put yourself through that weightcut when honestly she could probably make a run at flyweight?

I also think it would add more intrigue to the division. What do you guys think?

Personally I don't think 125 is as bad as people think, there are some young prospects there plus former 135 pounders who would have a lot of reach and weight over Ribas.

She's called for the winner of Esparza v Rodriguez, although the winner of Waterson Hill might be a safer bet. Anyway I hope she concentrates on 115 for now.

I think Ribas is really cool. She really buried Paige last night. I bet she'd be better at Instagram than Paige too.

If she is fighting for both money and legacy, then she should move down to 115. That is where the best female fighters are. If she just wants to get really popular and become well paid by the UFC, then she can move up and down if she is able and willing to do it.

She’s certainly not going to beat Valentina. She should fight a soccer mom once every 18 months and focus on IG and photoshop

I think she's stronger at 125lbs. Plus it's easier to get a TS at FLW than SW.

I see what you're saying.

The problem with 125 is that you have a division full of either early prospects, low level contenders that don't have a high degree of talent, then the champion. There's a lack of elite level contenders that would be a challenge for Valentina. IMO, womens flyweight is about 5 years away from being a complete division. I believe Amanda would be closer to being in that space. And at this point, she'd especially be closer to being in the contender space than she would at 115.

As another poster mentioned, if she's going for legacy, then 115's the move. There's a lot of tough fights for her there. But the road to the title would be a lot tougher, and she'd be far more likely to be knocked down a peg at 115 in pursuit of a belt, then at 125.

She's too small for 125, IMO. Lest we forget, PVZ is a natural 115'er herself and wanted to go back down as well. She was noticeably smaller than Paige and isn't very long at only 5'3" with an average reach. Not to mention, Shevchenko seems much harder to beat than Zhang, so doesn't really matter how much easier it would be to earn a shot unless your only goal is getting to a title fight with no regard for winning.

Shevchenko also ragdolled Joanna who is a big 115'er who cuts a lot of weight.

115 without question

Sure at 125 she could get fast tracked to a TS, but the division is shit. After you fight Val, win or lose, there's nothing left in the division

Fight at 115 for as long as you can, then move up later in ur career as the cuts get tougher with age

Just keep her away from the microphone.

Her ass looked better at 125, that's for sure.
She is a great fighter and has great personality on top of that.

Agree! It’s not a bad division, it’s just that Valentina is so good it makes the rest looks bad.

Just imagine if there wasn’t any Valen on the division; it would be very competitive and no one would argue its existence.
Valen would be the BW champion if Amanda wouldn’t exist, despite being much smaller than the rest of the BW girls. Her perfect weight class is FyW, so there’s no way she could have a real challenge on there.

Her cute little ass should stay at my house.

Came in to read some intelligent takes. Stayed for the obligatory pics.

She should fight as many weight classes as possible so we can see more of that fine...
