lol at people saying it is porn. one can all the rough sex fantasies they want, but there is one other barrier they need to overcome in order to realize them - it is intentionally hurting someone. and we all know where it is a cultural thing to treat women as sub-humans, where it is OK to rape a woman if she exposes her face or is in public unaccompanied by a male relative. that's why certain minorities are disproportionately dominating per capita statistics.

Where do the most rapes happen in the world? It isn't in Muslim countries. South Americans have far more rape cases and they are majority Christian.

I don't think you realise that rape is less prevalent in the Islamic world than it is in the West. Muslim culture differs based on their region. An African Muslim is more similar to their neighbors than they are to a Kazakh or a Malaysian.

Muslims get blamed for Pakistanis doing honour killings and rape yet that part of their culture stems from India. India/Pakistan both have the most Honour killings in the world.

Besides, why would this be observed only in Spain/Italy, or even Europe? We'd observe the increase the world over if it was about internet porn. That is globally available.

Look at what happened in the last five years. What has been the most significant thing to change in Italy and Spain in that time frame? In Sweden where there has been a similar uptick? Elephant in the room.

Agreed. I don't understand how porn can cause 4 kids under the age of 14 to rape an 11 year old. That is some sick shit. I already watched porn by the age of 14 and everyone else at my school did too yet no rapes happened. I don't even think rape is sexual most of the time either.

Germany 2016 rings a bell. There was a wave of sexual assaults across the country during new years eve but mostly concentrated in Cologne and Hamburg by mostly Northern Africans. Immigration isn't the elephant in the room. Everyone knows there will be consequences. Porn is the elephant in the room. Like, you don't even consider millions and millions of videos with girls getting absolutely wrecked and defiled, has absolutely no correlation to sexual violence. We can agree on immigration being an issue, but easily accessible hardcore porn is also an issue.

Online dating sites/Snapchat etc were a huge factor with teens and my investigations. A very easy way to contact girls outside of your circle to whom you can build up a fake rapport with. I'd stick my colours to the mast and say social media in general has had a bigger effect in dehumanising people. Look at the way people speak to each other on here.

well i will not argue against social media having a profoundly negative effect on people that is for certain. my 13 year old daughter has never even seen it and is as happy a human being as ive ever seen and you can watch her freinds bite the dist one by one as they get access to social media. its profoundly sad honestly.

I'm in the camp that porn is a net negative and should be heavily restricted, but any direct links between it and child sexual offending in particular is weak. It can be thrown in with fatherless homes, general lack of societal shame and changing culture as things that have helped contribute to a decline in standards.

But some of the more concrete factors that I saw included more girls putting themselves in vulnerable positions, foreign males being over represented in arrests (Romanian Roma & Afghanis) and girls (and boys) reporting more.
