Secrecy generates controversy over TPP Agreement

The Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement. Should we (average citizens) be worried? The Free Trade Agreement is between 12 nations, including United States, Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnamn. The Agreement will eliminate trade barriers between nations.

The controversy surrounding the agreement stems from the fact that no one in congress has seen it.

Members of Congress on both sides of the aisle have voiced anger over their limited access to negotiation proceedings. This anger began to boil over almost two years ago, but it is still simmering.

Meanwhile, certain coporations have been consulted on the details of the TPP, and have been made privy to its details
The majority of Congress is being kept in the dark as to the substance of the TPP negotiations, while representatives of U.S. corporations
