Dana White raises pay-per-view by five dollars,” O’Malley said on a recent episode of his podcast (via BJ Penn). “What the hell are we doing here, Dana?”

Also, when asked if he thought the increase will be reflected in the paychecks of fighters, O’Malley was not so sure.

“No, I doubt it,” O’Malley said. “But, could be. It is just so easy to stream it illegally. Not talking from experience, but just saying it. Whoever is in control of legal streams at the UFC, they need someone that is good enough at hacking (them) right before the main event starts. Every single time that they just shut it right before the good stuff.”

UFC should take a que from RIZIN... They are a pita ta get a decent stream.

Mind I usually purchase 90% a muh MMA but there have been times... Plus some streams are are actually ahead of legal broadcasts...

75USD is 94.58 Canadian dollars. That’s absurd for a sporting event. 69.99$USD was already very expensive. They will 100% be losing money with me. I used to purchase 5-6 PPV’s a year, but that won’t happen anymore. I’m only spending that type of money on 10/10 cards with 3 title defenses. If you want me to spend close to 100$ for 5 fights, this is the type of card I’m expecting:
Ngannou vs Jones
Oliveira vs Islam
Yan vs Dillashaw
Poirier vs Diaz
Colby vs Masvidal

My friend used to tell me about the great quality he could get using ace stream back in the day, before the whole reddit crackdown apparently. They were amazing allegedly

Man I wish I knew of a good and reliable streaming site.

That is what would say if I was some broke ass troll and not a completely uberhuman Sherchad.

But yeah. If I was a broke troll I wouldnt mind knowing some sites. Come on Sean, slide in my dms.

I’m in the same boat. If I’m not willing to pay for the card I don’t usually fuck with streams and just read play by plays after the fact or check out videos on twitter of the finishes.

There was a time where it wasn’t a question. I’d just fork over the $60 and I saw it as “some are better, some are worse”. Maybe missed an event or two here or there after really bad high level pull outs or cancellations.

This is just so much though. I would say realistically there tends to be a fight on each main card I could go with skipping and not lose sleep. So for me personally that’s about $20 per fight. When I break it down like that it’s hard to justify. How often do I see fights worth $20 to watch? Idk man.

The problem is that bars have stopped showing PPV's too, except for McGregor because bar managers are casuals. So if it isn't worth me paying for it, they aren't paying for it either, and I'm just missing events. And increasingly finding it hard to care.
If you price you're fans out, you will loose fans. From the early 00s to Covid times, I missed maybe 1 PPV every other year. Post covid those numbers are not holding up.

This. I used to pay for every PPV, just on principle, because I didn't want to rob the fighters.

But a) the fighters aren't getting their cut anyway, and b) the product is getting worse as the price goes up, and c) you already get a cut of my ESPN+ subscription.

And I'd rather be a thief than a fool.

There's plenty of great quality streams out there

UFC are crooks trying to convince me what they're selling is worth the price they're selling it for. It's not even close to worth that much and that's just being honest. That shit is not worth more than 40 bucks. Plain and simple.

is dana the one who makes that call? if all the numbers are up like they say why would they raise prices now. a lot of fight fans are low income idiots. always wonder how well ppv's would do if they were only $10-20
