Well the Saudi monarchy are threatened by the Brotherhood (aka Al Ikwan by Egyptians) because if Brotherhood ideology and sympathy takes hold in Saudi Arabia, it will threaten the Monarchy.

The UAE is also threatened by the Brotherhood and recently they held a kangaroo court that convicted Egyptians and Local Arabs of having links to the Brothers.

Saudi , UAE and Kuwait have been the major backers of Egyptian ex-general and now Field Marshall El-Sissi, while Qatar has backed the Brothers and Mursi. Recently Bahrain,Saudi and UAE withdrew their ambassodors from Qatar claiming the latter's support of the Brothers.

They are just worried the chickens they hatched in Syria will come home to roost. The House of Saud and the Muslim Brotherhood are natural enemies, not allies.

cool maybe Saudi can use there military for once since they are buying up all this fine equipment.

The Saudi monarchy is a terrorist organisation as well...looting all of Saudi's resources and keeping much of the wealth with the political elite.

Only a matter of time until they too get booted off from their pedestal - wonder how long they keep it going till it all comes crashing down.

The Saudis even recently passed a law that makes it illegal for Saudi citizens to go fight overseas. Clearly this was born out of fear that Jihadi Saudis will return home and try to throw out the monarchy, something we saw with AQ (rare as it was).

King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman bin Faisal bin Turki bin Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Saud be scared.

You bet. All ME despots are destined to go down. None will fall harder than the house of Saud. While Saud hates Assad now, they must realize that in the long term they will be in the same place.

I hope they go down in my life time; just about the sweetest thing to see that evil regime get their just desserts. They are universally hated .

I see two major conflicts in the ME during our lifetime. The first is already happening and will continue to happen as one by one the dynastic despots are extinguished. It will be horribly bloody. The second conflict will be all about the religious, ethnic groups there and how the borders there don't have any basis in reality, but rather reflect arbitrary colonial lines. This will be even more bloody.

This would be an interesting watch
