Royce Gracie at Toronto BJJ

was doing the 12pm (duh) beginner class and in walks Royce Gracie. Thought it was pretty cool.

felt a bit inspired and had what i think is the best class of my young bjj life, didnt feel gassed at all, good times.

Instructor is BB under Saulo Ribiero and Royler Gracie.


it was a complete shock, even Jorge (the instructor) didnt seem like he knew Royce was gonna show, we were all just standing around and in comes this tall skinny guy in street clothes....... i did a double take when i saw him, like wow that dude looks like Royce Gracie.

He was in street clothes and Jorge introduced him to everybody, even he was very excited. Royce was nice enough to stick around and watch us practice.


I think they are filming something with him because after the class there were cameramen etc coming upstairs when i was leaving. Was pretty cool to be around BJJ royalty.

Josh had to have known but it wasnt like a seminar or anything so ppl werent aware Royce was coming. After talking with some teammates they said the same thing happened last year but with Shogun Rua, just show up to random begineer BJJ classes. Pretty cool if you ask me.



EDIT lol 12pm.... duh...... im usually not up this early (i know, its not early to most ppl but i work til 5-7am most of the time)
